Ah, that makes sense. Obviously, I root for them to lose every game, but as long as they miss the playoffs, I'll be happy. Dat loss of 1st round pick.

Might not hurt so bad if they magically sneak in and/or replace it by trading Jagr, et. al. I'm telling you man, things just work themselves out for that team, all the time.

24/7 was a lot better today. But both teams were still losing.

Also, Mike Babcock was showing a lot more emotion than I thought he's known for. And Kadri's apartment is awesome.

Chris Stewart hat trick. That's three now, Getzlaf, Stewart, and Vermette.

Blues are just stomping the Oilers. It's almost funny, you think this team is bad? I actually laugh watching the Oilers. What a sad franchise.

Also to note, Yakupov has the 2nd lowest ice time on the team this game, only two more minutes than Luke ****ing Gazdic. He doesn't get PP time anymore. Eakins just so obviously doesn't like him it's sad. It's not even like DZ here, Eakins very clearly doesn't like Yakupov. And trust me, he hasn't been THAT bad this season.

Edmonton is so bad. They need to change that entire front office. Eakins was interviewed for other jobs, no? I wonder why he took the Edmonton one. Maybe because they most closely resemble the AHL teams he coached.

Maybe because they had a young team?

This Spezza vs Kesler thread is gonna give me a terminal illness.

If two forwards aren't in the same universe offensively, I'm taking the better offensive player every single time. You can throw everything else out.

It's not that simple, in my opinion. Sens fans HATE Spezza this year, and wow I don't blame them. Lazy, stupid plays every shift. His inability to do a simple clear (TWICE) on a Phoenix powerplay in the last 3 minutes got the game tied, where they lost in overtime.

I'd rather have Kesler than Spezza, honestly. He's playing like absolute garbage.

So you'd take a hall of famer over a 2nd liner based on 30 games?

Right now I would, yeah. Watch an Ottawa game, Spezza has been nothing short of godawful, his play is actually costing them games. I don't know what the hell happened to him.

The outdoor series will also continue with Montreal, St. Louis, San Jose and Minnesota, and Tampa leading the list to host the games. An Announcement regarding the Caps and Flyers could be made soon.

i wonder how an outdoor game in San Jose or Tampa Bay would do considering their hot weather...

rangers played outdoors 20 years ago in vegas during august. weather really isnt a big deal unless its raining.

San Jose is warm but it's not LA or San Diego warm. They're 45 minutes from SF.

Good for them being in consideration for this as they've been nothing but a stable and consistent franchise since coming in the league. They deserve more press and are more fun then many other teams.

Only took 5 years for the NHL to totally water down and ruin the Winter Classic. Good on them I guess.

There's one in LA this year, are those places really that much hotter?

Devils only had 12 SOs against Hawks. Surprised the game didn't go to OT.
