icing haunts Flames, Kane scores backhand 18 seconds left in the 3rd.. Flames blew a 2-0 lead in the 3rd

2-2 game in San Jose vs Kings 3rd period... Sharks on the PP. 12 mins left in the period.

If Jagr hadn't left the NHL for 3 seasons and had remained healthy, it's highly likely that he would have already surpassed Hull (741 G) and become #3 on the all time goals leaderboard... Additionally, he likely would have surpassed #4 Ron Francis (1798 P) and would be closing in on Howe for the #3 spot on the all time points leaderboard....

I can't believe the Isles traded Niedereitter for Clutterbuck. How does that deal make any sense?

Because they totally mismanaged Nino. They stuck him on the team before he was ready just so they could use his bonus, which he would never earn, to reach the cap floor. Then they played him on the 4th line or scratched him many nights. In doing so, they destroyed the relationship between Nino and the team, and hurt his value and their bargaining position when trading him.

On a related note, the isles are 4-10 since making the trade for Vanek. How long before Cappy gets the hook? And will Snow be far behind? The Vanek trade has to be one of the worst deals I've seen in a long time. How do you trade a soon to be UFA 30g scorer plus 1st and 2nd round picks for a more expensive, soon to be UFA 30g scorer? If Vanek doesn't re-sign, it will be even worse. They isles will have to pay him whatever he wants just to justify the trade.

Add two shortened seasons and a full cancellation -- about 150 games.

He's still playing at a high level. I personally thought he was done in 2008.

Are the Predators capable of scoring goals that number between 0 and 4? Seems like they either score 4 or get shutout. What an inconsistent team. Of course we either score 0, 1, or 2 it seems every game (except the last).

And he played during the entire dead puck era as well. Jagr is one of the all time greats. :handclap:

Goal of the year.

Jordan Staal beats Schneider on a breakaway. SICK pass by Faulk, kid's unbelievable. Debs losing 2-1. Skinner scored a gorgeous goal to tie it, too.

If anyone wants to watch a REALLY good game, Chicago-Dallas on NHLN. Awesome, exciting game.
