I like Paul Maurice, he’s a coach that most thought was done a few times and has come back and reinvented himself and found ways to win, it’d be nice to see him finally win one for the years he’s coached and he’s a likeable bloke. I like how blunt he is and he’s honest about the issues on his teams. I can see why his players rally for him when they can.

I don’t think it was that cut and dry. Brunette was the coach that took over Pedo-Enabler Quenneville, by that time Brunette took them to the President’s Trophy, but lost in the 2nd round, Maurice stepped down from his job with the Jets 6 months before hand. I mean there’s no way the Panthers figured yeah we’ll just wait for Andrew to f*** up.

He resigned from the job December in 2021. He wasn’t hired by the Panthers until June of 2022. Andrew Brunette was their go to if he didn’t screw that all up.

Weird was Brunette was offered a job with the Panthers in another role but then went to the Devils to be Associate Coach, have issues with a DUI there and ended up being a coach with the Predators within the 2yrs.
