Kraken have some nice depth players, but unless some of these guys take huge steps they literally have no first line players. And not sure they really have any top pairing defensemen.
He was. Is he still? He really dropped off last year.Gio is top pairing easily

As I like to say, if the better team on paper always won, there wouldn't be a reason to play the games.I still don’t understand how this team lost to Montreal in the Semi’s
Not sure we watched the same team. Schwartz wasn't particularly impactful last year, finishing 6th in points and 7th in goals among our forwards. And that was before we added Buch. ROR, Perron, Schenn, Kyrou, and Buch are all better at this point. Probably Thomas too. not sure how this is even an argument. And he is probably Kraken's best forward. You are severely mistaken lol. His scoring totals went down, but he was great on both ends of the ice. He'd be our best defenseman instantly. Schwartz was also our third best forward last year so not sure how you get 5 better forwards.
As for Gio, not only has his scoring really fallen off, so has his corsi. All indications are he is nowhere near the guy who won Norris 2 years ago.You are severely mistaken lol. On what basis? Perron has more goals than Eberle every year he has been back in St. Louis, more points every year going back further. Usually by a lot. Perron has been significantly more impactful player.Eberle is also about as good as Perron is right now.
Schwartz was a black hole for much of year. Schenn fell off because he got chained to Tarasenko who was atrocious. Do you not have cable?Schenn and Kyrou were in no way better than Schwartz. Both of them fell off a cliff without Schwartz and never recovered. Hell, it's a valid question going into the season if this is just the decline for Schenn starting or if he can recover. Thomas has to prove a lot to even start being compared to Schwartz. Buch is about the same as Schwartz right now. Better on transition and off the rush, but worse on the forecheck and defensive zone.
Eberle is also about as good as Perron is right now.
He is still decent, but he did less well in easier assignments last year than he did for previous several years. It's natural as player ages. It's fallen, but still at 53% and he's still excellent at defending the front of the net, the blue line, and in transition.

I disagree with the bolded. Eberle is much, much softer than Perron.Schenn and Kyrou were in no way better than Schwartz. Both of them fell off a cliff without Schwartz and never recovered. Are you okay?
Lol, if you are, I am!Schwartz with the 2nd goal of the franchise.
Am I a bad person if I want to see Lehner totally implode this year?
I agree. I expected some growing pains, and there certainly are some. But I think everything will be sorted as they figure out what works and what doesn't.This ESPN coverage is pretty clumsy. They will need to work out some kinks. But I'm enjoying a new take on things.
Why would you be? I want the ENTIRE Knights to implode.Schwartz with the 2nd goal of the franchise.
