This is by far the most entertaining SC final game in years.

First Original Six match up since 1979 (Rangers vs Canadiens) and they don't disappoint

1971 Stanley Cup Final between the Blackhawks and Canadiens is the most exciting final I can remember. It was simply incredible.

Agreed. I know the NHL looks at the south as an untapped market where they can develop fans, but Atlanta and Phoenix should seal the deal. Just look at attendance, the fact that no one wants to own the Coyotes, etc.., Don't make same mistake in KC.

Again, neither Atlanta nor Phoenix have anything to do with the viability of the market.

Recent years, I have to say 2009 is still my favorite finals from entertainment standpoint.

2006 Carolina-Edmonton was my favorite, post-lockout, by far. That Final had it all. Fernando Pisani! Pronger was insane. 8th seed cinderella. MVP goaltending. Brind'Amour: Captaining 101. I noticed not a lot of people seem to dislike that one, just because Carolina "wasn't a good cup team", whatever the hell that means.

just got back from the Less Than Jake concert.. Forward Nathan Horton left Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final with an apparent upper-body injury, leaving the Boston Bruins short in overtime against the Chicago Blackhawks. now i hope NYR doesnt go after him, especially if it is a concussion. he seems to be injury prone as of late..

Game 1 and 5 were wildly entertaining, but the rest weren't IMO. Game 7 was a bit of a letdown as the Oilers just came out flat until the final minutes of the 3rd. Game 2, 6 were blowouts. That series was drama though, Roloson injured, Cole playing with broken knees, former franchise player Weight battling against his old team, etc.

True, I am going back a bit far, but I only mention it because it stands out for me. There didn't seem to be a lull in those games. The pace was so fast, and so wide open. I don't think anybody blocked shots then, at least not often.

2009-2010 win by the Hawks was good, I totally agree.

Edit: sorry, I was off by a year on my remark
