If they sign Streit, it's less likely they'd think about an offer sheet for McD.

Streit will solve the Flyers' PMD issues!

Please give him 5.5 over 6 years, Flyers. Please.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Holmgren hand him a silly offer like that if a smart trade or something not so crazy doesn't go through.

But then again, our own man isn't much better.

Edit: So he has actually traded for his rights already. Wow.

If they lock up Streit I'm guessing they won't try for Yandle then

I think they do both. If they sign Streit, they have an abundance of d.

Timmoen
Schenn
Grossman
Coburn
Mezsaros
Streit
Gustafsson
Gervais
Bourdon

I expect the Flyers to be very busy this off-season as they need a couple of puck-movers on the back-end

Thank god we passed on Saad. :sarcasm:

Hilarious. Mark Streit is a shell of himself ever since that injury he suffered at training camp. Mediocre skater and gets beaten badly on opposing forecheck. He was a sheltered ES defender for the freaking Islanders. Hopefully Holmer pulls a Sather and signs him or 6 yrs at 6mil per or something crazy of that ilk.

He wasn't that sheltered.

I'm pretty sure the Rangers have arbitration right for McD so an offer sheet won't be an issue. The Rangers can decide on July 5th they are taking McD and Hagelin to arbitration.

Bettman/Daly say #NHL estimates it will make more than 58% of projected revenues even tho they only played 58% of their schedule

Wow.

I don't think the Rangers are going to have any trouble signing Hagelin--McD will be harder, he's really developed into a mainstay on the blueline in the last two seasons. But, I'm sure a deal will be worked out, it's just a question of how many years: the money will flow regardless.
