Can't help but laugh at the fact that Subban got over 3 minutes more TOI/G on the PP than he did short handed and that Suter averaged over 4 minutes more per night in total TOI.

ES TOI/G for Suter: 21:12
ES TOI/G for Subban: 17:02

Are you aware that Krueger was already back in Europe when it happend? What were the Oilers supposed to do? Fly him back for the announcement?

Glen Sather was on the same continent as Torterella and didn't have a problem firing him via phone. Where's the outrage there?

I can only assume people are moaning because it was via Skype...but that's essentially no different than a phone call, MacTavish didn't txt Krueger, "UR FIRED"

Just media making something out of nothing.

In other news we're all breathing

But seriously. No big deal about what went down at all. Makes for a certain people to go "Oh... well that's rude" but that's it

ANYWAY. I think the fact that Subban will supposedly win the Norris is so...misguided.

Suter put on a better show, but since less offense numbers and such, he doesn't win

....he fired him by phone? Dang, that's cold. First time I heard that. :shakehead

I think Subban was easily the 2nd best choice for the Norris.

But I also think Suter should have it in a landslide. He was simply better than any other defenseman in the league this season by a wide margin, IMO.

Seems more like the people who voted only looked at the flashy parts of the game. Suter is much more refined. I'd have Suter on my team over PK any day of the week.

PK's meltdown against Ottawa was beyond pathetic. The guy is a festering boil waiting to erupt on a team. :shakehead

Still haven't seen any other insider sources confirming this yet though. Kipper isn't exactly the most reliable source.

If Boston wins, Jagr has won 2 Stanley Cup finals 21 years apart. Is that a record?

Pretty sure Chelios did it in 22 (86 and 08). Recchi came close (91 and 2011), and if you want to get really technical you could include Lester Patrick who win it in 1906 and then played a game in the Rangers 1928 victory :)

Chelios didn't do it. He won in 1986 and 2002. And with Lester Patrick, you used 1906 instead of 1907.

For Patrick, I just went with wiki, who said the Wanderers won ut in 06 and 07 with him so happy to be corrected there.

Wasn't Chelios on the Wings 08 team?

He was, but we're talking about a span from one Cup directly to their next one, and not their earliest Cup to their last Cup.

Patrick did win in 1906, but he also won in 1907.

are we? He just said 2 cups 21 years apart, nothing about whether there were others in the middle. Meh, seems like one of those semantic arguments.

There you go Pass art, several people have won cups 21 years apart, but no-one has won only 2 cups 21 years apart

My question was basically about players winning the Cup again after 21 years. Even if we look at the latter, only 2 other players did it.

Pretty sweet.

If he asked what you thought he asked, he would have said Jagr won two Cups 22 years apart because he won in 1991 as well.

Well, he wouldn't have said that because Jagr hasn't won it yet

If he asked what you thought he asked, he would have used 'only', but, like I said, it's a semantics argument so i'll just let it go there.

Streit for a 4th rounder? Are you ****ing kidding me?

EDIT: Oops he's an impending UFA. Lol Flyers if he doesn't re-sign there.

They rather give streit away for a 4th than try to re-sign him? seriously?

He wants too much money/too many years and the Islanders are not willing to give it to him. Good move by them getting something for him before he walks for nothing.

I hope the Flyers give him his 5 million/season for 4 years he is asking for.

Aren't they barely above the cap floor anyways? or is he dead set on multiple years at a stupid high price?
