Placed on NHL waivers today: Antti Raanta (CAR). Didn't some Posters when losing their shit over Signing Jarry want him ?

Looking at some stats, the Flames power play seems as inept as ours with only 11 goals on the season.
Strange thing is, they have 11 different power play scorers.
As in not a single player with more than 1 power play goal 31 games into the season.

I mean we had to see it coming right?

Refs botched the Cousins hit and then Gudbranson got screwed over, so Pastrnak throws a similar hit and gets thrown out for it and no fine or suspension because the optics of the Cousins hit and Pastrnak hit, if you suspend one you now have to answer for the other. The most pathetic non action, action, is to just do nothing.

Aka - The George Parros method.

My boy Blue. Doing well since being back and getting settled in after a few adjustment games.

Now has 4pts in his last 5 games. 8pts in 19 games.

So Granato is probably going to get fired soon huh. To give up 9 to the Jackets and also be as inconsistent as they've been, that is going to cause a reaction.

I'm not trolling the idiots in the main board in that Pens thread, just an FYI, it just seems like that because they're the trolls and I'm trying to guide them to not being idiots. These lads are just seriously lacking all the marbles in their head sack. The constant posting of picks and what nots without understanding the situation and somehow making it feel like the Pens are the least to feel sorry for because the blokes they did draft high ended up being surrounded by the right hires and players to win 3 cups while their team has f***ed it each time.

Yet simply clarifying or asking them to actually understand the points they've posted with facts to back it and then still take it out of context is ridiculous. That one leafs bloke really is quite impressive with how little he understands the facts he's posted and the circumstances. It takes an incredible amount of ignorance to continuously do that and act as if that is what happened.

Man...how do you let the Blue Jackets get 9 on you? So bad.
Kevyn Adams has done literally nothing to really fix that team. He rode the roster Botterill built and then when things finally needed attention, he's got zero answers.

Entire off season he didn't address the one major area of concern - goaltending (two after that was depth and some vets to help on D - EJ and Clifton were his adds for the latter). And there were options via trade and free agency as well as over seas and somehow he ends up sticking with Eric Comrie, who royally sucks as the veteran goalie to two young netminders that should be in the AHL a little longer.

I mean sure they're missing Skinner, Greenway, and Girgensons but to be that awful and even adding Erik Johnson to a young D corps that hosts 5 players under the age of 25 and then Clifton at 28. Even there, not much of a buffer. Dahlin is the third veteran on that defense and he's 23 and Jokiharju is right behind him at 24 with under 400 games played as well.

Also their depth is awful. Was Adams just told not to spend? Why sit on that much cap space when a team like that needed to spend to build off of last season. What an idiotic franchise. To have that many young and talented players and waste them is always a travesty unless it's the oilers, then it's just f***ing fun as shit to watch a dumpster fire continue to burn.

Yeah idk if they were allowed to spend to the cap ceiling. 7.3M available right now.
They rolled the dice on Levi, who won 5 of his 7 starts last year. I guess they were hoping that they could have a bargain tandem, instead of throwing the bag at Hellebuyck. Apart from that, there wasn't much available on the market.
I can understand being hesitant to dish out big for a goalie in his 30's like Florida did. Not what I woulda done though. I don't believe in leaving goaltending to chance. It does too much damage when it doesn't work out.

Tage missing 9 games hurt. Their PP is 27th, when it was 9th last year.
But really the biggest problem is team defense I would say. That goes beyond just the inexperienced and offensively inclined blue line. They aren't getting insulated by the Forwards. There's a structure and commitment to defending issue. That's the sense I got when watching their team.

I liked the EJ signing, but they needed one more proper defensive defenseman, and they had the money to get him.

What the duck dude

Honestly, how isn't that a lifetime ban? Especially so soon after the Johnson incident.

Talk about a tone deaf league.

Jagr still playing out there. 37th straight season of pro hockey - That's so insane man

Isn’t it because his team needs him to so it gets butts in the seats, also he’s owner of the team or something.

Gotta keep that cash flow coming for them gambling debts and barely legal gf’s!

The fact that he swings his legs like an idiot is so reckless, f*** that tosser, ban him for life.
