Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season

Not worried about Bregman. His error was made out of desperation to keep the Sox in the game. He's always been a clutch hitter.

I actually thought it was a little harsh to give him an error on that play, TBH.
Especially since the official scorers usually always try to give the hometown player a hit unless it is obviously an error by the defensive player. By the way - am I the only one who thinks that Devers said to himself " I would have made that play ".

The sad thing is that they're getting decent production out of the periphery of their roster. Especially Campbell and Abreu, but absolutely nothing from the heart of the lineup.

Bregman has five hits but it feels like they were all inconsequential garbage time singles and he's left the tying run on base or at the plate in the ninth inning two days in a row. Plus the throwing error that gave Baltimore about three free runs in the 8th. Casas, Devers, and Story absolutely invisible. So your 2-5 in the lineup is a disaster.

If you remove the 8th inning meltdown that put the game out of reach today, they're giving up 4 runs a game on average, and a lineup like this should be over .500 with that, but they've managed to start 1-4. Concerning.
I watched every pitch and the 8th inning easily could have been a 1,2,3 inning

Nothing was hit hard and had Bregman not stumbled possible/likeky DP

Only the 4th batter walk did Slaten not pitch well in his 4 batters before Cora correctly yanked him

It should have been a 4-3 loss

Campbell walked in 9th on a ball 4 that was a perfect strike by Bautista - Sox likely get nothing in 9th

Devers is not chasing - his decision making is surprisingly very good

Hopefully it’s as Merloni who is freakin excellent says with his hands and arm thru zone

Seems all mechanical

Devers per Lou is not sulking at all

He could lose 15 lbs but he’s not grossly overweight

Anthony may need to come up and get Rafaela who’s a mess as a 2 days a week starter and defensive replacement

They were in every game

They need to send Raffy away to get his head right. You can't go on like this
No they need to get him in a room with video of his stance when raking - it’s off

If it was his head he’s chasing outside zone - he’s not

I’d like to see him lose 10 lbs but it’s mechanical to me and I know hitting having lost a LL batting title last game of LL season in 1970 with a Carl Yastrzemski stance by ‘003%
