Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season

Of course they score a run in the ninth right after giving up 4 unearned runs in the previous frame to make it a five run game

He’s picking his head up too soon and his timing is way off. It looks like a crappy golf swing.
Probably related to lack of a spring training but these are real games. I don't know what the solution is. Putting him out there every day right now doesn't seem to be helping anyone.

And his Stance is about 30 degrees more open than it was last June, according to something I read
An open stance is an 80s approach to hitting mainly for players who wore glasses. He needs to close his stance and keep his head down until he makes contact. He also needs to shorten up his swing.

I didn't explain my post correctly. In the history of baseball, no SP has ever pitched 5 consecutive games where he struck out at the plate 15 times. Devers has struck out at the plate 15 times in his last 5 games.

13 more K's for the Sox. Led by record setting Raffy (3 more) and Trevor (Ghost) Story (3 more).

So far all that speed hasn't helped the offense at all.

But it's only baseball. Sox will have their good days.

They can't lose them all, they're not the Bruins.

The sad thing is that they're getting decent production out of the periphery of their roster. Especially Campbell and Abreu, but absolutely nothing from the heart of the lineup.

Bregman has five hits but it feels like they were all inconsequential garbage time singles and he's left the tying run on base or at the plate in the ninth inning two days in a row. Plus the throwing error that gave Baltimore about three free runs in the 8th. Casas, Devers, and Story absolutely invisible. So your 2-5 in the lineup is a disaster.

If you remove the 8th inning meltdown that put the game out of reach today, they're giving up 4 runs a game on average, and a lineup like this should be over .500 with that, but they've managed to start 1-4. Concerning.

Not worried about Bregman. His error was made out of desperation to keep the Sox in the game. He's always been a clutch hitter.

They could really use a game at Fenway right about now

Not gonna panic because I don’t think the heart of the orders struggles are sustainable, but boy have they been toothless once they get a runner on base. They’re probably 3-2 if they were even average with RISP instead of abysmal. They’re getting guys on.
