The Lucic situation seems very out of character from what I saw and heard in Calgary when he was where. His wife and him were both very involved in the community and with the team. Did not ever hear anything but good things about them.

Seems like an isolated incident, perhaps. I mean the other thing was his phone or whatever it was. Pat and Evander Kane are legit pieces of shit with multiple incidents and yet they're never getting remotely as much hate. Bizarre. I've met Lucic at charity events in Vancouver, him and Brittany never seemed off to me. Met his Brother as well, Jovan, nice lad. I will never not get a kick out of so called "useless players" being the exact type of players we keep hearing about wankers cry we need on the 4th line.

Sam Lafferty was always one of those players that had the tools to be a fine 4th liner but just never got the coaching from Sullivan and his cronies. Yet he went off to a dump like Chicago, then to Toronto and now Vancouver and has received that guidance and is exactly the type of player most want on the 4th line. I think the focus of the name and etc just stops a lot from ever discussing it properly.

But a big, physical, quick, and versatile player that is able to chip in 25~ pts in bottom 6 usage as an energy checker is what Sullivan keeps whinging about missing and yet he's incapable of actually developing and guiding a player into being and then tries to do it to players that are not that type of player, into one. Drew O'Connor to me, is one of those players that Sullivan has no clue how to develop and keeps trying to turn him into a ZAR/Simon type.

I liked Sam the first year, did well, but after that it just looked like the coach wanted physicality but then would get mad because he couldn't exactly coach what type of that he wanted and punished players instead of teaching them how to be constructive with it.

Meh. Guys like Lafferty are a dime a dozen and lamenting him not "making it" in Pittsburgh seems agenda-driven nonsense. He's on his 4th team in 23 months. HIs possession metrics are horrendous and have been everywhere he plays. It's amazing how overrated players who have size and can skate fast in a straight line can be.

Actually no. There was only 3 arenas with availability tonight. Biggest issue was the teams returning from Europe. American teams asked not to be travelling on Thursday, which doesnt make a lick of sense because they fly charter. Im guessing the NHL doesnt want Thursday games completing with Handball on TV.
