Between the Sabres' goaltending (Levi has not looked good at all) and Tage's slow start and now injury, looks like Buffalo fans are in for more of what Buffalo fans have always been in for.

Buffalo making the decisions they did in net and on RHD this summer while pretending this was a playoff year for them is asisine.

That Power contract feels a bit early. Guess they're hoping that he continues to develop well and the cap goes up enough that it'll be a bargain midway through or something. /shrug

Neither Ottawa nor Buffalo are really looking like they're gonna take a substantial step toward pushing the Pens out of reach of a playoff spot.

I don’t have a problem with the Power contract. But the anointing of Ottawa and Buf as these unrivaled contract situations struck me a lot like when Edmonton locked up all their guys 6x6 back in the RNH, Hall, Ebs etc years. Sometimes you gotta pay people to win, not what they project.

These Blues players should retire.

Statement from Bruins on Milan Lucic incident on alleged domestic incident "The Boston Bruins are aware of an incident involving Milan Lucic Friday evening. Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. The organization takes these matters very seriously,

The Lucic situation seems very out of character from what I saw and heard in Calgary when he was where. His wife and him were both very involved in the community and with the team. Did not ever hear anything but good things about them.

This isn’t the first incident between Milan Lucic and his wife. They were also involved in a dispute in 2011 but no charges were laid His wife and him are like Ronnie and every girl that dates Ronnie from Jersey Shore

What situation?
The

statement on Milan Lucic’s status: “Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. [We] take these matters very seriously, and we will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they may need. We will have no further comment.”

I mean, Voynov's wife still stood by his side (and they're still married) after he repeatedly beat her to the point of her ending up in the hospital and needing stitches. /shrug

Abusive relationships can be real f***ed up.

Nylander going off for his contract year. Leafs on fire since sitting Klingberg and Reaves, not too surprising there.

How are Washington and Philly doing so well? The Caps have a negative goal differential.

I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship with the Steelers and Pens.

Both say they'll change and I start to believe them with some minor improvements. Then they go back to who they always were and I say "I'm never going back to them"....but I still do

Goaltending has been better by both teams….Hart and Lindgren have been better than Jarry (not saying much) … also they are playing with defensive structure and shot blocking way More consistently than the Pens are…playing with younger legs and energy can carry teams quite far…Caps best players have been the young guys they inserted in the lineup, not Oshie or Ovie

Why is there no hockey tomorrow and Thursday? I know Thursday is American Thanksgiving but I still remember a couple games on that day, but why none on the 21st?

The Oilers are 5-11-1.
They need to play at around a 106 point pace (.646) hockey the rest of the way to make the playoffs.

I'm fairly sure they're toast at this point, unless there's an extraordinarily low bar in the West this year.
A team just can't put itself in this kinda hole and expect to get out of it, even in November.

f***ing RIP to the dynamic duo ☠️
