With f*** Vegas' loss tonight, does that mean they've been mathematically eliminated?
Not yet. Theoretically if everything goes right for them and wrong for Dallas they could get in. Their magin or error is one point now.

Looks like Vegas will join us as a team on the outside looking in. Must be really painful to squander a season after getting Eichel then dancing around the cap by sitting their top player. Douche bag franchise gets their due…….wonder if their owner cleans house at the top?
So Eichel cost Tuch, Krebs, 2022 1st, 2023 2nd. That is a heavy price. I always thought Eichel was talented but he was really underwhelming this season. I assume he bounces back more next season but that was expensive and might have cost them a playoff spot this season.

He injured his knee and has been on LTIR since March 26. There's a belief amongst many here that Vegas players can't actually be injured but are only faking it for cap purposes.

If and when the Knights can DeBoer the Jets better not even think of bringing him here, Maurice 2.0 we do not need him here
He isn't a Maurice clone. He's much more of an ass from what I've heard. Don't want him at all either and don't think he's a fit in our organization.
Given our market we probably need more of a players coach and that isn't DeBoer.

Here's to hoping they ball the hell out for two series. Then I don't really care. I'm largely fine with the Rangers' winning it, and I don't really care if we pick 28th or 32nd, as long as it pushes us up some 20ish picks.
I’m hoping they get swept in the ECF, unless, of course, somehow, against all odds, they’re playing the Leafs.
The bigger mistake was taking Laine over McDavid IMO
Calgary's going to have an interesting off-season. Long-term contracts to Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Mangiapane would likely cost them $25 million total which would put them a million or two away from the cap. They would still have to sign Kylington and another 6 or 7 guys to get to the 23 man roster.
They will have to get rid of Lucic or someone else on the team (likely giving up draft picks) to free up some space.
