Like I said before, he's either not a very good GM or he and Tippett aren't anywhere near to being on the same page.
Holland is a very good GM, and DT and Holland are on the same page. We, of all posters should shit on the Oilers as they are playing, and we are sitting at home making up stupid, ridiculous trade rumors, and hoping our inexperienced GM makes the right moves.

Holland signed Smith , Barrie, Ennis, and Turris for a combined $7.9 million. He got Pulujarvi back from Europe. Got Kahun for under a million. And people think he's terrible???
Holland is a very good GM, and DT a very good coach. Holland will have a few rubles to use this year.

What was the thinking in signing Turris. Did you think that was a good move?

Did you think signing Caggiula was a good move? Not every singing works, and to be quite honest, I thought signing Turris was a good signing, but as it turned out it wasn't. It happens.

It's the relationship between the coach and player that was the problem. I thought that was obvious in my statement. Guess not. I wasn't talking about any team signing Turris. Never mind.

Smitty was pretty good.

Ehlers' two goals were perfect snipes.
Wheeler's goal was a quick rebound where no-one covered him.
Perreault's goal was chaos in the crease.

The only one he should have had was the wrister from the point, even though he was screened.

You made me watch the OT. Did Archie really blow it in regulation, as some other thread I read said? Really liked that guy. Was "depressed" when he wasn't qualified.

Look a few posts up. I linked the video of the cheap shot that led to the PP goal. The guys during intermission roasted him for not going down to block a shot after that too.
