Only if they want a better deeper team that can win in the playoffs, otherwise they should keep him.Trade Draisaitl? Lol.

The previous GM. Holland will have $$ this year to do some wheeling and dealing, same as our very own BA. Let's see who does a better job. BA as a $$ advantage, but Holland will be able to spend to the cap where I don't think we will.So nobodies responsible?
The Oilers are in the playoffs, AND making extra money for their owner. Not all of the depth they added was good, but same holds true for the Coyotes. Like BA, Holland's hands were tied because of the previous management miscues. It is Holland’s fault. The depth he added had been useless trash and it was obvious at the time he added. Oilers fans were smug and over confident about it but it was garbage depth.
I doubt very much the Oilers trade Drai. He and McDavid are joined at the hip.Outside of trading Drai/McDavid, he had no way to improve, other than fill in some scraps and cross his fingers. Holland is suffering from previously bad GM decisions just like BA. The difference in Edmonton is Tip did it with mirrors outside of the top 2 players, hid the lack of depth, but in the playoffs, teams have more time and are better prepared, your weakness gets exposed. We had RT, he couldn't hide anything
Oilers will need to trade Drai to really improve as a team and add the depth they need. I am sure Holland doesn't want to do it but he might be forced to now. Oilers would have been blown out if not for Smitty
Not to mention a really really good contract. It seems people here think GM's just have a choice of any player they want in free agency when the reality is that the player has much more control.I doubt very much the Oilers trade Drai. He and McDavid are joined at the hip.
Exactly correct. You have 31 owners and GM's, most with brilliant hockey minds playing poker against each other. Not to mention a really really good contract. It seems people here think GM's just have a choice of any player they want in free agency when the reality is that the player has much more control.
Which is what every single human outside of Alberta could see clearly at the time.Seems to me if you have Tippett as coach you should have some Tippett style role players in the bottom six. Not Turris and Ennis.
Not watching I assume as neither of those guys are playing. Ennis was a good signing, Turris not so much.Seems to me if you have Tippett as coach you should have some Tippett style role players in the bottom six. Not Turris and Ennis.
Nobody plays that way all year, you need skill guys not grinders for the most part.Watching. Regular season still counts.
I barely follow anybody else outside of the Coyotes so I didn't know he needed to save his job. I would have though he was a genius watching this series. The Jets are playing this perfectly. Paul Maurice is saving his job.
You mean Turris didn't contribute under Tippett? Who woulda thunkit? It is Holland’s fault. The depth he added had been useless trash and it was obvious at the time he added. Oilers fans were smug and over confident about it but it was garbage depth.

Like I said before, he's either not a very good GM or he and Tippett aren't anywhere near to being on the same page.Holland.

I was never a Turris fan but holy fack has he fallen. He just can't playTurris was revenge porn for Tippett.
I’m sure that the two of them talked it all out.I just can't get past the fact that they signed the former 3rd overall pick that Tippett refused to play above the 4th line, when he even played, until Turris demanded a trade. Then like Strome he immediately becomes the #2 center on his next team. You can't tell me there's no friction between the two because of that. That marriage was doomed to fail. Exactly would you want when you're trying to get your team over the hump to being a cup contender.
