Avs in the midst of a third period collapse and potentially down 3-0 in the series very soon.

Avs regrouped after Bednar called a timeout

Tocchet: Called a what??

I always laugh when people give Tocchet crap about why not call a timeout? Cause he should get them regrouped....

You do know that Bednar called a timeout when it got to 3-3 and Dallas then scored the go-ahead goal to make it 4-3. It didn't look like it helped....
Momentum changed when the Avs scored back and tied it.

It's easy to 2nd guess something like a time-out... Why didn't he... Like I have said before - Maybe he wants to save the timeout for the
end of the game.....or other reasons.... I think some posters make this some big point when it really isn't.

I understand your point but there are many coaches out there that don't use a time-out very often - they put out a line that
they think will change the momentum not a time-out. And sometimes shit happens....

Watching these games is depressing. The pressure all over the ice and everyone playing hard on the puck and to get it back. Never mind winning im not sure the Coyotes can even play in the League.

Tocchet calling a timeout would at least prove he's doing more behind the bench than MILF-sighting in the stands and going over gambling odds in his head while the game's being played.

Here's the problem with the virtue-signaling game cancelations: there is no absolute solution, nor is there a proposed solution. There are approximately 800k police officers in the United States. Unfortunately, there are times when their actions will result in death. Some of these are justified, some are not. I think it's somewhat worse in the U.S. than other developed nations due to the prevalence of firearms. Police must assume that any person they interact with could be armed. On average, 50 police officers are killed each year as the result of a criminal act.

What do these privileged athletes plan on doing other sitting out, kneeling, or wearing t-shirts? I have not heard any useful suggestions that will improve policing or reduce crime.

The other aspect of the faux outrage that the media won't discuss because no one wants to be accused of racism, is the idea that this is racial injustice. About twice as many whites are killed by police as blacks. Yes, the caucasian American population is about 4 times that of blacks. This is the wrong way to look at it. A better way to assess if there is any bias is to look at the number of times police interact with a suspect. Whites are arrested for a violent crime about 35% more than blacks. Based on the number of times the police interact with violent offenders, whites end up dead at a higher rate.

All things considered, from what I've observed in most of these videos, the police are poorly trained. They do not have enough knowledge or practice at apprehending a suspect who resists. They exhibit extremely poor trigger control and overassess lethal threats. They are inadequate in deescalating volatile situations. The police need to have more training than the average hairdresser.

Tour De France starts Saturday morning. Not likely they will give a hoot about what's going on in America.

P.S. At least not until the next German invasion.

Yeah, I'd say you still own them at least one liberation. They spent so much money on the US revolution, they got their own for it. (Politics, sorry. ;))

Man. Those in favour, should be hired as new GMs. All of them.

Boedker was coming off his career best year and was slightly younger. He was just hitting his stride, or so it appeared. That's why the Boston fan wanted to trade for him.

Good reminder that you can't predict the future.
