Imagine if the Stars wipe the floor with the Avs. How can the Tocchet narrative possibly survive?

I hope that Dallas runs the Avs over and then Dallas gets absolutely killed by Vegas. That way it become crystal clear that we got crushed by a team that immediately got run over by a team that immediately got run over by another team that actually had their hands full at least a little with Chicago.

It would annihilate the narrative that Arizona was overmatched by an elite team. It would further reinforce that Arizona has no business facing ANY team in the playoffs, despite the previous GM giving the coaching staff a max cap roster.

They HAVE to fire Tocchet and Co.

..,but they won’t.

Maybe if Steve Sullivan trades a bunch of expensive vets on Meruelo’s orders, Tocchet will just quit and go back to Pittsburgh to work for Mike Sullivan again. His totally undeserved sterling reputation will likely result in him being able to dupe at least one more team into giving him a HC position in the future.

If Dallas handles Colorado, hopefully that helps build the case against Tocchet.

After our disaster of an exit and no firing of coaches I doubt Dallas beating Colorado would mean anything.

I know he had a good team and expectations were higher than a 1st Rd exit, but Reirden won his division both years as head coach.

RT coaches the Coyotes to 5th in the Pacific and receives fawning praise. It's tough supporting a low expectation franchise.

Dallas castrated the Coyotes twice. Probably figured out they could do it to a lot of teams, so they are just constantly agitating the Avs and giving no ground.

Good coaching and strategy matter. It also really matters that the team gives a damn and doesn't mind getting in the other team's face instead of bowing down before them.

It was pathetic listening to the "leaders" and coaches do that when it happened and it's still pathetic now.

Leaves a bad taste in your mouth watching your team emasculate itself repeatedly.
