If the Jets go .500 (6 wins) the rest of the season, the Stars would need to go 10-3 to tie us and possibly win the division (depending on the tiebreakers). Just for some perspective on how tough an 8 point lead is to overcome at the end of the season. Dallas hasn't been very dominate either since they acquired Rantanen, they are scraping out wins and loser points against teams they should be blowing out of the water. Although maybe same can be said about the Jets lol.

And 2 of those OT games against teams they should have pummeled (Anaheim and Phillie). Rantanen hasn't done much last few games either I think?

In the last 10 games, Stars have only gained 1 point on us. It is indeed tough to make up points.

Teams lose games their fans expect them to win on a regular bases, pretty much the fuel of this place. Guaranteed the Stars will lose some of the games they are expected to win, just as the Jets will. They aren't catching the Jets.
