So Pietrangelo is the first player to drop out of the 4 Nations. Do you think internally the Jets would like Josh Morrissey to sit this one out, the way he's taken some lumps along the way this season?
I wonder what the penalty is if a player that is picked to play, just says no, I'm not going, yet they are technically healthy?
Can't be more than the fine Kucherov got for not trying at the All Star game.I wonder what the penalty is if a player that is picked to play, just says no, I'm not going, yet they are technically healthy?
I'm looking forward to a 2 week break from hockey myself. Is the appetite for this 4 Nations Face-off tournament zero, or less than that?
In that case, guessing that North Korea will insist on fielding a team. Why did they exclude Russia? Afraid of being beaten?
Still have a hard time gauging how competitive the hockey will be. Maybe it's glorified firewagon ASG hockey, pond hockey, no hitting, no intensity.
I'll only watch if it's as intense as the 1987 Canada Cup (so I won't be warching)Is the appetite for this 4 Nations Face-off tournament zero, or less than that?
Ya i can't see players going all out for this. Do you want to lift the 4 Nations cup , if they have 1 or lift the Stanley cup ?We will find out once the games start. My guess, it starts like "normal" hockey until someone hits someone not to hurt them, but just to lay them out...and then the players will be telling each other to back down. All I know is I'll be laughing at the people that pay big money to watch this in person.
Why did they exclude Russia? Afraid of being beaten?
4nations should be a preseason tournament in new markets
Ya OK, Ovechkin could use the rest. They're a bit busy at the moment.
Rare L by Chevy there.Crazy how Kovacevic is like an NHL regular now
Good for him. Waivers worked as intended. Once Chevy acquired Schmidt, there was no path forward for him in the organizationCrazy how Kovacevic is like an NHL regular now
Copp can tell us the secret once we trade for him....Detroit makes a stingy Kings defense look rather ordinary beating them 5-2.
Study that game type Arniel!
Had no idea ottawa had fought their way into a playoff spot... always sounds like grim news over there
