Sometimes you miss on a player, it's too bad the Jets felt they didn't have room for him last year, this year would of been a different story. Anyways water under the bridge I'm sure he is more than happy where he is.

Or you make a move like minnesota and list chisholm as dtd instead of waiving him

What's up with Wheeler? It would be a shame if a guy like him got forced into retirement.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

(What I'm thinking is that the Jets looked like a new team approximately 5 seconds after Wheeler was shown the door, so enjoy retirement, Blake).

What's up with Wheeler? It would be a shame if a guy like him got forced into retirement.

Because players aren't allowed to sign for a negative salary cap hit? Wheeler would either have to pay a team to sign him or 75% of the league would have to end up on LTIR before any team would give him a sniff.
