Imagine being that much of a dink to feel the need to dunk on Russians for no reason.
It's not that, he's just terrible defensively and head coach (if you can even call him that) does whatever he wants in terms of trades and contracts. Our head coach is literally a young Terry Pegula standing behind the bench and thinking he's at least Paul Maurice or Bruce Cassidy.

Avs fan here, not a wild statement to make at all. MittelJost sucks. We'll take a Byram bobblehead for him back in a trade if you guys want him back.
What's his problem? He seemed to have a good start and now he's gone sour, maybe some hidden injury or something?

Honestly, I really hope it is an injury but the more time that goes on I'm leaning to more a conditioning issue. Guy looks gassed after pregame skate and skates like a washed up RyJo. He is beyond awful and has been dragging everyone sharing the ice with him down with him.

It's a little weird, we had something like that with him before he flashes, but then he was playing on questionable lines and we didn't know for sure if it was him or someone else on his line. But then he was mostly good. But sometimes players play with injuries that we don't know about, or maybe he didn't prepare well in the offseason. He's clearly not a dumb player.

More that Byram has actually been really good - he's 4th among all defensemen in 5-on-5 scoring trailing Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar, and league leading defensive scorer Zach Werenski (who saw that coming?) despite Buffalo's relative dysfunction.

As for Mitts, eh. He had stretches where he was AWOL in Buffalo. Just seems to be very streaky.

Even weirder is that MittelJost was playing better when we were annihilated by injuries in the beginning of the year and he was playing with 3rd-4th line tweeners and grinders. As soon as we started giving him some more sure fire top 6 talent, he started sucking. Now we're back injured and he's had to play with more plugs but he hasn't been able to get that spunk back. He was demoted down to the 4th line last game in favor of .... checks notes .... some Finnish guy named Juuso Parssinen.
