I’m glad we didn’t pay that price. No way I would want to give a 1st, 2nd and any prospect for a guy who isn’t on pace with or ahead of his development curve. Seems to be a few question marks as to whether or not he’s going to be a top pairing guy.

Well, thankfully for Minnesota, they already have a top pairing RHD in Faber, so they don't need Jiricek to be him. That being said, I'm not happy that the Wild got another prospect with legit upside even though most CBJ fans are stating that he's a poor skater with questionable decision-making ability. I was interested in getting him for the right price, which I thought would be Bolduc + another lower level prospect. Hopefully myself and the other posters here who insisted it would cost a lot more than Bolduc can eat this humble pie (pumpkin flavored) because the trade reminded us that we're all speculators at the end of the day.

Columbus track record with top picks is terrible.
I hold an impressive amount of contempt for that organization. Having won one playoff series in 24 or so seasons is a massive disappointment. I wish their fans all the best, and I know they recently got a new GM, but would rather see that team in a different city with a different brand all together.

Wow, I wouldn’t have wanted to pay that price for him. Could be wrong and he could thrive in Minny. At least seeing the brothers go at it for a long time could be fun
