I'm willing to bet Babs got a payoff. He took no responsibility for anything in his prepared statement and didn't apologize for anything. I think he got paid in money and his ability to make such a weak statement so that he would go away quietly. Just my $0.02
I'm sure that's true. He certainly could have fought this, especially since the dumbass GM literally publicly said "hey he did that to me and I thought it was fine although I can see how some people might be uncomfortable." How are you going to fire me now? You know I make people uncomfortable! So I imagine Babcock will retire very comfortably.

Now that Bob Murray is in Philly as a Senior Advisor, how long before his man Randy Carlyle becomes the Flyers coach ?
Almost 0% I would say. RC is 67, hasn't coached in over 4 years and I highly doubt going to one of the bottom teams in the NHL at his age is appealing at all given his CV over his career.

Perry hasn’t played 1st line minutes since 17-18.
His last 5 years TOI/G
14:49
13:43
13:44
13:30
11:33

He a 4th line PP specialist. This has to be about getting traded to a contender.
Bedard's shot with Perry's screening and goalie antics. That PP will be fun as hell. Hall and Jones will help as well.

Not saying he is 1st line. They don’t have anyone else to play on the 1st line though. Someone has to play there and it could be him

It wouldn't be so bad if the nhl would get his you know out their mouth. I swear I say a post that said, Bedard steps on ice, look at how amazing that step is. Wow
Same thing happened when McDavid entered the league. The endless gushing about him by the National broadcasts during our 2017 series against Edmonton was nothing short of nauseating.

That yesterday about Bedard'S assist, made it sound so amazing. I'm like, Zegras did that a few times last season

Not sure what is worse for me watching Bedard that the Ducks got screwed( although Carlsson is looking very good), or the Rangers got Laf for their 1stOA pick. Lol

I hate that I find myself rooting against Bedard.
I'm hoping one extreme or the other... either he's not the generational talent they hoped and Carlsson and Fantilli are better (or at least better in the playoffs) or he is a super star that needs a new contract when the cap goes up and he ruins their salary structure. I just want Chicago to fail, not particularly Bedard.

I didn’t think Bedard looked that fast yesterday. One of the few concerns outside of his size is his speed. Gonna be interesting to see how that plays out.

Even on this play, he looked relatively slow (definitely won’t have that kinda time and space in the regular season either)
