He had his head down and got clocked. The real issue in the league is letting rats like Marchand run around and get away with **** because fighting has been phased out of the game. There’s no one in the league to keep the rats in check. But hey what would I know, I don’t read spreadsheets about players

Another cop out.

The player getting hit isn't responsible for illegal hits.

The guy throwing the illegal hit is.

You can count on one hand the number of 'rats' in the league these days, it used to be much much worse when you had guys specifically to keep them in check

That was a pretty bad miss by the refs on that pulldown of McAvoy. Totally part of the goal that occurred.
Stamkos shooting like he used to.

Can’t say I disagree with Prust. Hockey is a physical sport, collisions happen. Guess the world has gone soft.
Have no problem with Prust. He was not a dirty player. He played an honest game. I loved him when he was here. I hated the collision/hit, but it did not seem vicious or with intent to injure at all. He apologized to Stepan which many guys would never do, especially not in the handshake line. Quite a bit of overreaction in that other post.

By the logic on this site, if a drunk driver runs you over, it's your fault for not avoiding him.
And how is driving drunk a predatory action when you don’t even know what you’re doing? Comparing a questionable hockey hit with someone under the influence who has no idea what they’re doing is a terrible analogy.

Easiest way to not hit someone high? Aim for the bottom their sternum with your shoulder. It's really not hard...

"Plan" to drive drunk then?

The point is that Prust's hit wasn't as simple happenstance as a 'collision'; it was a dirty, predatory hit. A dirty, predatory hit that he defends throwing.

Out of curiosity, what are Occupational Health & Safety laws like in the US?
Licking someone wouldn't fly in an Australian workplace and the NHL/Bruins would have to do something about it pretty quickly if someone put in a complaint

I’m not talking about Prust’s hit, I disagree with him, his hit was late and intentional. I’m debating the Wilson hit. He hit a guy who had his head down, you’re taught at a young age to keep your head up.

So you admit that these hits are premeditated?

Awesome, glad we agree.

Watched the replay 3 times and honestly didn't see anything. Watch it again, it looks bad but there was really nothing Kucherov did.

Look at the reaching around by Kucherov. To me, it's a real textbook holding penalty. Maybe we disagree, but I bet most refs would say it is a penalty too. They just missed it.

Premeditated? Hockey is a fast game, situations arise in the blink of an eye, decisions are made in split seconds. I guess they haven’t factored that onto a spreadsheet yet. Premeditated is McSorley on Brashear. Premeditated is Bertuzzi on Moore. Matt Martin on Talbot. Simon on Hollweg.

Holy crap. I didn't start watching this game til halfway through. Just saw that disgusting Marchand lick..
Does the NHL have any balls or are they just open to anything? Second time he has done that. Unreal.
