This is why I scream about scouting US prep and the USHL. That’s where Boston, Chi, and Pitt have drafted all of their depth. These kids are well coached, play solid two-way games, and compete. Carolina built their defense out of the USNTDP/USHL.

We so severely underscout it and it’s infuriating.

We hired a USHL/NTDP guy 2 seasons ago when most of the other guys were brought on.

IIRC, he actually used to recruit for the NTDP.

Hopefully this will show it’s effects this year. The USHL crop seems to have a good group of kids this season based on scouting reports and the minimal video that’s out there

IMO, WPG and Vegas will win their series. Thought that before last night also. Vegas' odds are way too slim by this model imo.

I'd be livid if I was a Panthers fan. Flyers make the playoffs over them by 1 point, proceed to get murderized in Game 1.

Because it's like a waste of a playoff seed. Who knows, maybe the Panthers would give the Pens a harder time? I don't know, personally, I'd be kinda pissed.

There’s not much difference between Espo doing color commentary and Susan Sarandon doing color commentary, except that when Susan makes the same noises as Espo, she sounds a hell of a lot better.
