I don't know fellas, someone needs to help me here. I get the Colorodo part of the deal and why they wanted to do the deal. They definitly got a nice haul and like a few of you have already said, thank the good lawd that GMJG resisted the temptation of acquiring Duchene and giving Sakic what he wanted.

It's the difference between Turris and Duchene that I don't get. They seem like pretty much the same players. For instance in my two big 12 team $ fantasy leagues I am in, in a snake draft, Duchene went as 11th pick of 5th round whereas Turris when 2nd pick of 6th round. In the other league which is an auction with each owner with $250 to spend, Duchene went for $7 and Turris went for $8.

From the eyeball test, they both are pretty similar talent wise. Duchene, uber skilled obviously is a bit more flashy with quicker bursts of speed but soft as butter than Turris. Turris, very skilled as well, is pretty damn fast as well tho not as flashy but is more consistant and has a bit more elbow grease to his game. There's really not alot of difference with the two of them and so I don't see how either Ottawa or Nashville got better....I just don't. I think it's pretty much a wash.

Only one winner here well actually two....Colorodo obviously and us thanks to Gorton sticking to his guns and not succumbing to Sakic's demands.....lol

Ummm how is Nashville not a winner?

Price going to miss a third straight game. Injuries have been awful for him the past few years.

Kreider killed him. Glass shamed him.

Career is pretty much going nowhere but down.

Price never fully recovered from getting sniped by Glass.

Its like Stevens - Lindros all over again except instead of a dirty hit it was sick nasty backhand shelf cheese

Kypreos sounds like he thinks every word he's uttering is the most profound thing ever uttered.

Cringe city.

That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if the Leafs moved Marner. They need a top defenseman badly, and one of Marner or Nylander would have to go to acquire one through trade. Considering Nylander's chemistry with Matthews, Marner seems like the guy who would go.

I feel like he's trying to copy Skip Bayless, say something dumb and say it in a dramatic way. He can't even give a good reason why Marner should go.

I don't know if they need to acquire a 1D. They have Liljegren on the way in a year or two, and its not like they should be all in right now, they are still a year or two away from being at their best. Rielly, Zaitsev, Liljegren, Gardiner along with maybe a decent free agent who's more of a defensive type could be good enough, especially when they have Matthews, Marner and Nylander who should be three of the NHL's best offensive players, along with offensive depth with Kadri, Brown, JVR, Marleau.

I wouldn't trade any of those three, not until they show that they can't win a Cup without a proper 1D.

Now that you said, he sounds EXACTLY like Bayless in that clip. It's uncanny, really.

Unfortunately, the other guy is no Shannon Sharpe. Who usually puts Bayless in his place.

Here's a strange little thing I just realized while looking at the standings: The Penguins currently have the 3rd worst goal differential in the league at -14 (with Arizona and Buffalo being -26 and -16 respectively) and are 2nd worst in the league as far as goals against (again Arizona is worst), but they are are sitting at 4th overall in points in the league.

That's what happens when you get a 10 from Chicago...

f***ing love Sharpe.

Damn I was thinking about going to the San Jose game tonight, and after seeing Donskoi's goal, I regret not going

How do you get all these US channels in Australia if you don't mind me asking?

There's like 10-12 sports channels lol. The downside to shows like Sharpe/Skip, Stephen A Smith/First Take, Mike and Mike is that they put them on late at night. Being drunk and listening to Skip and SAS is fun.

I was having this this discussion with Astros fan from baseball board (Kayla) last season. She lives in vicinity of Houston and gets blacked out. A fool like me on the other side of the planet has easier access to Astros games than someone who lives in Texas. Mindboggling.
