Antii Niemi is the new 5th horseman of the apocalypse. War, Famine, death, conquest and shitty goaltending.

Someone got the Hayes/Vesey/Skjei costume picture autographed recently (saw on /r/rangers).

Pittsburgh ties the game late with a goal that was offsides. What else is new? At least they lost in OT but f*** that team.

Those costumes are amazing. That is the essence of what Halloween should be, scary and a bit awe inspiring, a jolt.

Dreger reported last night that a 3 team deal involving Duchene, was aborted by Senators GM Pierre Dorion. He mentions the 3 teams as Ottawa, Colorado and Nashville, doesn't talk about any other players involved.

This would have been the deal

so joe sakic has gone from demanding the world to being ok with a haul of picks and maybe a prospect or 2?

So I noticed that Sean Couturier has 18 points in 15 games. Has he turned the corner? His previous career high in a season albeit in 63 games was 39 points.

Duchene gone! It won't be as good as something from this past summer I bet.

I'm actually hearing a top prospect (white) and two first rounders. If thats the case he did quite well.
I know its different but basically we got a first rounder for stepan. Is duchene really that much better?

I can't imagine Ottawa winning this by much. Nashville is getting a roster player for prospects and picks to win a cup, makes sense. I think Turris is on $3.5M this year and it's the last year. So maybe there's some cost control element coming up with Duchene at $6M for one more year after this. Turris might have been after a lot of money. Things didn't go well for Arizona when it came to Turris.
