Should have been a holding call IMO. Not dirty at all though, just a guy getting beat.

This sucks though. He's such an exciting player. As much as I hate to see it, it's not really surprising to me that something like this would happen considering how fast he is and still a bit thin. Hopefully he recovers quickly.

he plays at such a spectacular speed that hes's more likely to sustain a spectacular injury. look what happened to Bo Jackson

Damn, it sucks to see McDavid get hurt. I'm hoping for a quick recovery

Same. He's been a treat to watch. I've been watching more Oilers then Sabres games due to game times and well being in Edmonton. Really hope he can make it back by at least the Dec. 6 game against us.

Pretty impressive win by the Kings over the Blues tonight. Enroth gets the call and looked very precise. Made a nice header redirect off a shot in the 3rd (actually deflected the puck into the corner netting using his head - on purpose).

Jonas and Ott had a sharable moment together at the end of the 2nd period. Nice to see old team mates acknowledge one another.

Ehrhoff was strong on D for the Kings as was McNabb.

You can see McDavid raises his shoulder at the last second to absorb the impact and avoid going in head first. Quick thinking in a crappy situation.

Except that you don't think on that situation, that's a reflex.

Lets not kid ourselves to think that the way McDavid blinks his eyes is generational

Feel bad for McDavid and Edmonton. Hopefully these injuries aren't a trend for him. But that's 2 breaks in a row.

Generational self-preservation instincts. :sarcasm:

Sucks for Edmonton. Really hope his absence doesn't propel them right back to the basement, because I'm sick of seeing them get high picks every year.

Can you imagine is Edmonton finishes last or near there and ends up with another #1 overall ? Lol

If they did what would they do with it. Surely Mathews is about as good of a lock to go #1 as Mcdavid was. Do they trade the pick? Drafting Mathews would be some serious overkill in my opinion.
