Around The NHL #13

If it starts with both Knies and the ‘24 1st, it’s the beginning of a nice offer. But if it’s missing either of those pieces it’s a trash offer.
I'd like to think that we would be as inclined to trade Keller as they are to trade Matthews. The only way I would trade Kellers is for a league top 5 RD. I don't want quantity, I want to concentrate talent now.

Keller for picks and prospects isn’t a good fit. But depending on the picks and prospects it could at least be good value, even if the fit is wrong. I was just speaking to the quality of the fan offers. If it’s Roberts and a 1st it’s a bad offer. If it’s Knies a first and more it’s a good offer but the wrong fit.

Imagine if they had the balls to trade one of those 100 point players for a stifling D core. One 100 point player AND the stifling D. That's what I want us to have.

Exactly. Two elite scorers and weak D means trade one of them to shore up the back end. We know it won't be McDavid.

Hill to me is this era’s Chris Osgood. Good enough to win you a Cup (or, not lose you a Cup) but not standalone good.

Of course you knew better though, right?
Totally saw this coming and can probably even prove it, right?

I didn't know he'd end up as the top goalie in the league, but I didn't want to let him go, expansion draft or no expansion draft. His numbers were fantastic in the games he played for us, great size, was just coming into his own.

Maybe Julien Lutz pans out and I can feel better about it. Korenar certainly didn't.
