I’m absolutely shocked that a mediocre team over the last handful of seasons (with half their lineup shooting% at nearly double their career highs through the first half of this season), are now struggling and falling back down to earth as their luck variance evens out. Shocked!
Many have said that they would fall back to earth and they sure have they looked terrible tonight

I'll be shocked if he isn't in the lineup for game 1 of the playoffs
I would heavily wager that he will be and I don't even gamble. No reason for Vegas not to abuse the cap since nothing has been done about it. Eichel will be back game one as well; he's been on IR for a bit now with no indications of a return.

The shenanigans actually weigh into my decision as to whether to continue to be a STH or not. If the league is going to shaft the team I'm paying to see (and not only my team) then it's really not a level playing field. TNSE isn't going to go down the LTIR-abuse path so they likely aren't going to be able to compete.

I love how the media spins the story how a great addition Lyuushkin is to the Leafs but some how they don't mention the Leafs traded him away.
He actually signed with Buffalo that off-season, spent a year there, got traded to Anaheim and now traded back to Toronto

I don't see any way that the Ducks would trade Vatrano if he was ever on the market, as for the Devils in the off season they knew they needed a goaltender and they still do.

Crazy ... what a waste of a season for the Devils by not getting a goalie.
You outshoot a team 33-14 in 2 periods and you are losing 4-2.

There's absolutely no way Ruff isn't fired seconds after game 82 is over.
Yup, making the playoffs is the only way he saves his job, if then if they go out early he probably gets canned. GMTF is safe but really acquiring a mostly face puncher doesn't get you closer to making the playoffs

8 x $11.6. My initial thought was it seemed steep, but he had over 100 points last year and is pacing for 99 this year. And we’ve got multiple forwards in and around the $11-12 million range now. And it’s eight years … so not bad?

what i found a bit surprising by EPs stats....& i don't watch VAN so would defer to others. for a guy that's a beanpole , of the top 32 fwds scorers (arbitrary number), he's 5th in most hits registered/3rd among the top-10. for a guy similarly build or frame as KC he seems to throw his body around at a higher rate than some of the prolific scorers in the league, while being one himself.

Some players like getting their noses dirty some don't. KC will never be a muck it up guy and is the definition of a perimeter player

i guess. KC can play a harder offensive game at time. like he wouldn't be afraid of cycling down low and along the boards, this year i have found him to be a bit more on the perimeter though. but on the defensive side, he's softer than baby palms. & i don't think "oh he's a goal scorer" is just something that preclude him from that.
