Another elite win for the Habs. Looks like playoffs for them this season.
his ice time is better now as well.. Lots of highlight plays
The road trip has been a real challenge and will require us to take advantage in a huge way once it is over.
Kaliyev on waivers
With Ullmark likely gone until February, and a brutal schedule this month, we could very likely be out of the race as we get to the Four Nations break.
that wasn't whySeem to remember a lot of people laughing at me for saying Rossi would be a top line player in the NHL.

"In" the "outside"?By next week we will be in the outside again
That’s wild, although he’s been in trade proposals for seemingly forever.
Future European league leading scorer.
It would be "wild" if he could reach that
people believe all kinds of things. Rossi had lots of supporters.. Some people overly bash players that other people like because its not their guy.People did not believe he could be a legit top-6 guy in the NHL and thought we should stay away from him at the draft, yes.
I don't regret drafting Sanderson but I don't think we'd have been in a worst spot with Rossi. He's just starting to come into his own and he could hit 90 points next year.
Kaliyev is coming off a broken collarbone, no interestWhy not give it a try?
I wonder what a buy out on this would look like
Tax breaks for when he's retired and not living in Cali. Its an interesting structure for the player. Take $3mil instead of $6mil salary now for 3 years and then when you are 40 and no longer in the game you get $900k /yr for 10 years. A hedge i guess against losing money in bad investments perhaps. I wonder what factors went into his thinking. Perhaps a new trend starting
I think Lebrun reporting that he will leave high tax state California explains the why. Will probably move to one of the no state tax states so he'll keep more of the money. Smart move, gives him that extra bit of security down the road + pay less taxes on it.Its an interesting structure for the player. That must be a key part of it. But taking $18mil in the next 3 years instead of $9mil, you get 10 years of investing that $9mil difference. Id have figured that makes up for the taxes making me think there is something else at play.
