haha ok fair, I was just naming some wingers I consider Elite.

But that's interesting, how would you rank this?

Stutzle + Tkachuk + Sanderson
Matthews + Nylander + Marner
Kucherov + Point + Hagel
Barkov + Reinhart + Tkachuk
Pastrnak + MacAvoy + Swayman
Seider + Edvinsson + Raymond
Suzuki + Caufield + Hutson
Dahlin + Power + Thompson

We could expand with other Eastern teams too
I think @GCK said in a couple of years.

Toronto hasn't won with what they have. Their windows will be closing.
Tampa. Closing window
Florida. Closing
Boston. Not competitive
Wings. Not good enough. No C strength
Montreal. Playing most nights where the other team has the best players
Buffalo has been a royal shit show. They might be there with us.

Keep in mind that Buffalo and Montreal have the 2 youngest teams in the league. Other than that, I have no rational explanation as to why Buffalo isn't doing better. My worry about Montreal is they have a lot of good management in place and unlimited ressources. But for both of these teams I'd say it's too early to tell, they certainly have a lot of good young players within their organizations.

Toronto : yes they haven't won but it feels a bit different this season, they seem to have the right mix of veterans. And with Matthews (27), Marner (27), Nylander (28), Rielly (30), Knies (22), Cowan (19), they have some horses to do some damage. Big question mark on defense once guys like Tanev and OEL decline even more

Tampa. : you're a bit quick to declare those closing windows. Kucherov (31), Point (28), Hagel (26), Guentzel (30), Cirelli (27), Geekie (20), Hedman (34), McDonagh (35), Moser (24), Vasilevskiy (30)... they have so many good pieces

Florida : Closing? How? Barkov, Reinhart, Tkachuk, Lundell, Forsling, Ekblad, Verhaeghe, Knight,... they're all still young enough and players really WANT to go to Florida, like for Tampa.

Boston : Not competitive? Also sounds very quick, I mean, it might be the first year in a long time they're not a bazillion points ahead of the Sens in the standings by the new year. But I agree that they should be the first team falling, due to the lack of forward depth after Pastrnak IMO.

Wings : It's true that they're not strong at C now after Larkin (Compher/Copp/Veleno) but they do have some nice young talent. I still see them behind others

Ooof, Buffalo choked away a 3-0 lead including giving up two goals in the last 3 minutes of regulation with one at 8 seconds left.

They were up 3-0, 4-2, 5-3 and lost 6-5 in OT.

Marco Rossi with his 15th tonight.

Glad to see him recover from his health scare given how high I was on him during our 2020 draft year discussions and how he played here in Ottawa in Junior.

Competitive skilled guy with a motor.

33 points in 39 games.
I was on #teamrossi along with you. What a draft 2020 was. You couldn't really go wrong drafting anybody.

Rags and Nucks could be good trade partners. Rags have the assets to acquire Miller or EP. Would love to see them get rid of more valuable depth and continue imploding

May you be the one shining star on an otherwise black hole of mediocrity.

To be honest they aren’t that bad, at least not more mediocre than we are.

If their goaltending was better they’d be sitting comfortably in the top 3 of the atlantic.

If Pettersson and Miller clashed, can't imagine him and Zib in the same locker room. :biglaugh:
Funniest thing about that tweet is the author acting like the Rags can get Miller for 2 signed Shesterkin jerseys, a bucket of pucks, and roll of the "good" tape.

f*** the Rangers. I hope they finish 32nd for a decade and never win the lottery.

You say that like they won't win the lottery this year.

I don't think the nucks will get much value for Miller. 8mill till he is 37

He’s top 10 in league scoring in the last 3 years.

They will get value.

Problem is he has a NMC. So the return will be less because of that.
