Kind of a crazy call by the Canes to not sit Rantanen.

This isn't a Geekie or Coyle situation where you might want to move the guy, but if he gets hurt it's not really the end of the world because they're under team control.

If Rantanen gets hurt, you cannot move him. You lose him, and by extension Martin Necas for exactly nothing which would be just catastrophic roster/asset management given you're supposed to be in the middle of your contention window.
