Sure, but you’d expect his point totals to slow down in the absence of who people are calling a Hart trophy candidate.
That was my point - I originally said he was playing well and got told, "but he's playing with Kaprisov". I noted that he's been the 1C for much of the year and is getting it going. Then another poster noted that Kaprisov is out...

Ultimately, what I want to say is ... Rossi is good in his own right with or without Kaprisov, and it is nice to see him heating up, regardless of who is on his wings.

Kaprisov being out helps provide the proof, that was my point.

Absolutely - he's getting 1st line and 1st unit pp time with Kaprisov out. In fairness to the op, he and Rossi have been good together (so Rossi is indirectly benefiting?).
Anytime any player gets to play with top end players on the roster they should benefit.

Rossi has had a nice season.. I am happy for him and pulling for him. He is a smart player

My take is that they both benefit .

Boldy leads the wild in toi on the pp ; Boldy, Kaprisov, Zuccarello (top 3 forwards); Zuccarello missed about 13 games and has 10 minutes more than Rossi
TOI at 5on5
Rossi and Boldy are about a minute apart
Rossi Kaprisov w/o Boldy 301:13
Boldy Kaprisov w/o Rossi 146:40
Boldy Kaprisov Rossi 65:25
Boldy w/o Kaprisov w/o Rossi 298:36
Rossi Kaprisov Zuccarello 251:40

All these teams surging because their best players are elevating, meanwhile ours have stopped scoring. Gonna need them to wake up asap.

Boston is losing right along with the Sens... they have not gained any ground. We have to hit the reset button and catch them

Same for Tampa.

There’s like 5 teams within 2 points or less of us though. Will be an absolute bonkers end of the season.

And we’re missing 2 top 9 forwards and our starting goalie :)

Scott Wheeler is not enjoying anything about the WJC, the players, the management, coaching and the fans. Perfect guy to cover the tournament.

when his suffering is finally over, the next day he’s going to wake up, tuck his t-shirt into his pants and put on his smart guy glasses bought in downtown Toronto at the smart guy shop from a Leaves fan who can’t afford tickets and find something else to disrupt his bowel movements.

Sens, Penguins, Flyers, Habs, Wings and the Blue Jackets…. All gunning for the last WC spot.
