The Habs getting another early pick doesn't excite me.

I was hoping they would be middle of the pack and miss the playoffs.
Hopefully they can start stringing together some wins, but stay at the bottom. Like get out of the bottom 5 and into the bottom 10. However, wherever they finish, may they draft a bust

No worries, here is the link to evaluations

I find Bourne worse than Kipper.
Thanks

Hey, its entertainment and live. Sit at home as I do.. from 10 pm to 5 pm the next day is "near zero content" and nothing but repeated shows. Over and over... By the time Bourne and Kyperios are on, you are so grateful, you don't care what they say.

Montreal was never making the playoffs, but they got off to a decent start and had some shiny new toys to fawn over for the first few games as they beat Ottawa and Toronto within their first 3 games. Their defence is populated with children though and that won't yield consistent play over time so those warts are showing, along with the injuries. They won't be a player for awhile yet

What apparent in a rebuild is you need elite defensive forwards for success. It’s clear now it’s not about a C, D or G - it’s about drafting 2 way players that play the game hard 200 feet all over the ice

Cup winners and their elite forwards they got and rebuilt with and won with

L.A. - Kopitar
Chicago - Toewes
Boston - Bergeron
Pitt - Crosby
St Louis - Tim Hortons guy
Vegas - Stone
Florida - Finn Captain guy

We don’t have the defensive skillz in our top players to win games, if the offence is working we win but if we don’t have offense going our top players don’t have the game to keep us in games and squeak out wins

Sports are going to be all we have left soon
MAC,

between 19% and some 60% yearly increase for teams.

The Dallas Cowboys hit 10 billion
The Yankees are up there as well. I forgot the number, it may be 7 billion, if not more

Real Madrid, Barcelona, some of the EPL teams are in the billions.

I am guessing that teams all over Europe have all jumped the 1 billion value.

I doubt food companies are this valuable.

Nashville spent so much in FA and now Trotz has to say the word Rebuild to get his vets going lol

"I'm trying to do some things right now," he said in a radio interview Tuesday on 102.5 The Game. "We will be limited a little because of the contracts that we have . . . but if we don't get it going, then I'm going to start our rebuild plan."

Dante Fabbro is on waivers

26 y/o, RHD, only 6'0, 190 lbs though, 2.5 AAAV and UFA after the season

I'd take him easily over Hamonic but last game we played Hamonic instead of JBD, like if we couldn't see how much damaging it has been for Sanderson to play with him. So not much hope there

Good for the Sharks/Habs as they will most likely claim him first.

Miss him. Gregor is fine but I still would rather have Kelly who looked fire under Jacques Martin. An extremely hard worker with fire in his belly, the type of guy we never had enough of.

We only have $390k of cap space. Hamonic has a NMC.

Dante Fabbro makes 2.5 million and is averaging 13 minutes per game on a losing team. He was once highly regarded but his minutes have declined for four consecutive years. Nashville couldn't even get a late round pick for him. Someone might claim him as a reclamation project but i suspect he's going to disappoint wherever he goes.

I’d rather just use JBD than get Fabbro at his cap hit.

I assume if we traded for Fabbro it would be something like Fabbro half retained for JBD. Which might just barely make us compliant with 23 players, but would be compliant with 22.

JBD is clearly not in Green's good graces.

With that said, there is zero chance they want Fabbro. It doesn't make sense. I also doubt Nashville wants to burn their third retention spot, so if they move him it will likely be in a deal for another bad expiring contract.

Interesting Sens are only 1 of 3 teams in the East to not have a loser point 14 games in and if fair probably 2-3 post game analyst the Sens deserved a point. Last season they had the least amount of loser points in the NHL with 4.

What’s up with the Jets this year. They set a NHL record with 14 wins in the first 15 games.

Washington is arguably the surprise team in the East and are doing well.

The Jets are a pretty good team but they aren't this good. Maybe they've hit the ground running to try and avenge their embarrassment in the playoffs last year. I think the Sens tried to do the same thing in 2007-2008 after flaming out in the Finals.

But you can't win the Cup in October. Secure a playoff spot maybe.

It's not as though they can control this sort of thing but I really believe they are peaking too early.

Sure, it's early in the season and many things are temporal in nature. Water is wet.
