somebody should send this to Don Boyd
Its gibberish
you might want to give Don the translation as well and point out the Nov 7 to 10 dates to watch gamesDynamo players have gone to the Russian U18 team! Kurban Limatov, Mikhail Melikov and Ivan Ryabkin have been called up to the junior team for training from October 28 to November 6 at the Novogorsk base. We will follow the success of our guys at the Future Cup in St. Petersburg from November 7 to 10
Jeff Molson has to pack 20 K strong in that barn.... And he has to sell a couple of a hundred million bottles of beer in that province.I don't understand the narrative around that team right now.
Who the f*** thought they'd be any good? I sure as shit didn't, and I thought that was consensus, so what is the panic about?
A lot of them live in the Center of the Universe, so they honestly believe that they can't be bad for too long, it just wouldn't be fair or make sense.I don't understand the narrative around that team right now.

The Habs have averaged over 20k in attendance since they moved into the Bell center almost 30 years ago, and have been a bad team for a good chunk of those years (roughly half if I had to guess). I don't think there's any risk of the barn not being full or the beer not being sold.Jeff Molson has to pack 20 K strong in that barn.... The Habs don't win and neither happens.
Marty is on thin ice.
you may want to talk to Pierre McGuire. He was talking about the Habs and the Bell Center and the realty of its occupancy. The Habs are not the Leafs. They are no different than most markets, poor play = empty seats. The Habs have averaged over 20k in attendance since they moved into the Bell center almost 30 years ago, and have been a bad team for a good chunk of those years (roughly half if I had to guess). I do agree Marty is on thin ice though.
Well, it's the media running with the story too at this point, as if this team should have any expectations. Maybe I'm more down on their current roster than some, but them making the playoffs looked entirely out of the question to me and critics seemed to agree heading in, so I guess it's just weird to see this narrative now as if it's been unexpected.Jeff Molson has to pack 20 K strong in that barn.... I can't say I expect most Habs fans to be reasonable, but they're only punishing themselves if they were thinking playoffs this year.A lot of them live in the Center of the Universe, so they honestly believe that they can't be bad for too long, it just wouldn't be fair or make sense.
Unfortunately for them, their team is like their city: they stink.
so I checkedDid you know that the value of the Chicago Blackhawks has actually gone DOWN in value. See the latest listings.
The best part is a lot of them were all "what are we? Ottawa? Our rebuild is done!"I can't say I expect most Habs fans to be reasonable, but they're only punishing themselves if they were thinking playoffs this year.

It may still be time for Marty to go, I don't know, but their roster won't achieve much more atm with someone else, imo.
It's possible that some crazy fans came up with unreasonable expectations but from the pulse I have from hockey friends, expectations were still in rebuilding mode, they're just rightfully excited about their prospect pool, like we were after the 2020 draft
It's called the Detroit Red Wings way. They get excited more easily than a lot of fanbases, ours included.
In the summer, it was particularly cringeworthy.
Then if you challenge on playoff expectations, they backpedal instantly, only to go immediately back into "but anything can happen" territory.
The poor start has thrown a bit of cold water on their coming out party, along with Laine's injury.
