Dorion is gone. Let it go.
lol there's nothing to let go, it's part of this team's history, like the 2003 run, the 2007 finals, the 2017 run, the circumstances of the previous rebuild, Havlat, Hossa, Chara, Karlsson, etc, etc, etc. We are FAR from having paid all the bills due to Dorion continuous mismanagement. That we talk about it or not, it will never go away. If you don't like certain subjects, then bury your head in the sand as much as you want, put me on ignore, do whatever I don't give a crap. I'll talk about what I want to talk.
We added a blue chip prospect and a Vezina winner in the same off season.
During the 7 drafts of the rebuild, we basically WASTED 4 of the top 7 picks...
2018 : Tkachuk
2019 : Thomson (via Duchene fiasco, we lost a 4th OA pick)
2020 : Sanderson
2021 : Boucher
2022 : DeBrincat fiasco (ok we have Ullmark but as of now, he's UFA after the season)
2023 : Chychrun fiasco
2024 : Yakemchuk
We're extremely lucky to have a chance at a future after scrapping more than 50% of our top-10 picks. Karlsson's return helped a lot in that regard
You can't "let go" something that is actually happening. This is not past rebuild stuff, this is the actual rebuild.
I did read, you said teams would like to add Chabot and then gave a silly example. There would be no real hockey trade to make with Chabot.
Frankly, I am so tired to waste my time on silly (since it's a word you seem to know) discussions like this. So I'll respond just once then just ignore as it is quite stupid.
There's nothing silly about this example except what you are projecting. 2 teams are swapping contracts that are considered albatross (well Chabot's was, according to the poster). The point is showing that a team would gladly swap their bad contract for Chabot's since they'd find it much more valuable than the supposed "albatross" that it was in that discussion. Traduction for you: "I disagree that Chabot's contract is an albatross" lol
