So did I, but if that’s not a kick, than how IS this? Different rule book in the playoffs. If that had been against us it stands. If we scored it, it’s turned back. Which isn’t NHL bias, but is the fate of anyone stupid enough to be a devoted Rangers fan.
I thought Coleman tried to disguise his stopping motion when he was really trying to nudge the puck over the line, which is why I called it a kick.

The team talking about it during intermission is literally contradicting the rule itself. It was called a good goal. Has to be decisive to overturn. Isn’t “distinct”. The NHL makes it up as they go.

Yeah but apparently you CAN redirect the puck with your skate, you just can’t “kick” it.

Not sure actually

The fact that some say kick, some say it was a good goal means the call on the ice should've stood. I'm fine with overturning it if it was beyond obvious. But it wasn't, so the call on the ice should've stood imo

Did y'all just get the Kicker Ball commercial? WTF?

Yeah… I’m not sure what that is. Do you wanna not get good at soccer and just be able to do this shit anyway? That’s like if they made a puck that goes 100 mph even if you only have a 60 mph shot.

That's the current rule, but I never liked when they changed it to allow for redirections while moving or repositioning your skate.

Same, I didn’t even realize when they did it and hated goals that were called good, but the precedent has been set. How do you overturn a good goal from what we saw?

Yeah. How about learning the skill of kicking a ball to curve?

Very scientific breakdown of you.

Right? It’s like… the opposite of a training tool. Like if they made a soccer ball that was heavier or harder to curve so you could master curving the ball, that would make sense. This is the opposite. I could see EdJovanovski liking something like this. Do you wanna do trick shots like the Michigan but not have to actually stick handle the puck??! Here you go!
