Quenneville wants back in

No. We need to have some standards and values. Being a decent human being will always be more important to me than winning a kids' game.

No enabler of sexual abuse anywhere near this team.

Hire Quenneville, and watch me leave.

Curious to see the reaction around the league if he gets reinstated...

This is how I feel. I don't think he should be given a second chance with the NHL and any team that thinks its ok at look past what he did is wild.

I can never seem to get the story.. Kyle Beach was 'sexually assaulted' by the video coach? And it went on for some time? What was the 'sexual assault'? That word is so vague and far ranging

Apparently people knew about it? No one did anything, including Kyle Beach? or did he approach management? I mean how does he not put a stop to it?

Yes he was.
No it didn't (although the lack of reporting helped allow other incidents to occur)
It was a 'sexual encounter'. Not sure why you'd ever want more details than that. I honestly don't know about the USA but for a lot of the world sexual assault = unwanted contact that can be sexual in nature. It covers a lot of things but certainly isn't 'vague'
Yes, lots of the Blackhawks staff and players knew
Beach and a coach reported it, no-one else did anything
Yes he approached management
It did stop (with Beach, but carried on elsewhere)

a few minutes on google gives you most of the info:

Yeah it’s such a weird story. How can a video coach have so much sway that people are afraid to call him out for sexually harassing a player???? Maybe if it was a head coach.. but even that is a stretch.

Never mind that he’s praying on adult men who aren’t typically vulnerable nor does he have much power over them. Bizarre shit.

There could be inappropriate talk/touching and then Sandusky type of malevolence. There's varying degrees and a major difference.

What people call sexual assault today is completely different than what it was 2010. Does it make it OK? No. I'm trying to fully understand the situation before I cancel the entire Blackhawks franchise.

Like I said i don't understand the US, but certainly over here your description of talking would be 'harassment" not "assault". But it's really splitting hairs as neither are ok regardless of whether you consider them minor or major transgressions.
Nor is it ok that senior management turned a blind eye whether because they were considering it 'minor or just not giving a shit at all.

You don't have to 'cancel' anyone (mainly because that's not really a thing) and there's enough info on the interwebz to get a pretty good read of the situation of you did want to understand it

Debs are just toying with the Sens. 10 pts ahead of the Rangers after this game.

Sens finally pot one. Brassard 5 hole.

This game should be 6-1.

This is ging to be a long year for us. Crazy how good we looked at the start and here we are
We just need to worry about our own shit. The Devils are not going to win every game left in the season. The reason why it feels like it'll be a long year for us is not because of how good NJ has been but rather how disappointing we've been.

The guy who looked the other way while his player was being sexual abused by a staff member. f*** Quennville. I'd rather Gallant get a lifetime contract with the Rangers.

True. Plus last season the Penguins had a long winning streak, they eventually slowed down and lost to us in the playoffs. Hurricanes owned us in the regular season and we ended up outing them too

I just watched the highlights. I hesitate to take anything away from NJD having not watched the game, but what I saw from the goals was an Ottawa team playing QMJHL level defense. Guys being left wide open in front of the net, missed coverages everywhere, massive rebounds.

Stutzle on that one goal basically makes me want to take back everything bad I’ve ever sad about Laf.

I know this is a sour grapes take, but I feel like the Devils have an advantage being the little brother team. When teams take road trips thru the NYC metro area, the Devils always get the backup goalie. I can’t imagine guys get up to play in Newark the same way they do on Broadway.

No way to prove this obviously but it’s something I have felt forever.

Barzal finally gets a goal.
Our friend Buch has 2 goals already although it is against Anaheim who are hands down the worst team in the league.

Shit, let the Devils get home-ice throughout the playoffs. Who cares? For one, they've shown the inability to sell out a playoff game. Second, there's a reason why the Prudential Center is known as the Visitor's Home. It's because more away fans show up to that arena than home fans. It's not easy when you're surrounded by four of the biggest fanbases in the US in the Rangers (biggest), Bruins (second), Penguins and Flyers.
