Unfortunately, his limitations were never going to allow us to get to the next level, especially while he & Panarin were busy playing shinny.

Rangers should have moved him at the deadline. Lets face it. Rangers moved a key guy in Gaborik to get Brassard during a playoff run. Imagine getting a first for Strome.. If you know you wont sign the guy, get something at the deadline. Playoff run or not.

Strome was a great Ranger. The Rangers will be better with Trocheck. Both can be, and are true. Strome will be missed. Trocheck will be a welcome addition when the pond hockey style Strome and Panarin plays needs to change come grind time.
I loved Strome and was a strong advocate of resigning him. Trochecks play on the PP goal by Zibby was the first step in changing my mind along with his faceoff. Evene when he lost a faceoff, trocheck hounded the puck, put pressure behind the net, caused the turnover resulting in Zibbys PP goal. Strome didn't forecheck like that. I'm also 99% sure he never won 10/15 faceoffs in a game as a Ranger.
Best of luck to Strome in anaheim. Heck, even get a goal against us, just let Trocheck score the GWG right after so we get the W

Ducks are gonna be fun this year with guys like Zegras, McTavish, and Terry, but their defense is a major issue. They outscored their D issues tonight, but going against better goaltending will not always be able to come back Like that.
