There is a belief that Reino and Benny will be on Team Canada.

First, thats awesome for Benny. However, that sucks for us. Thats a lot of guys having to play extra games. And will Benny wallop any of our guys? lmao

Barky, Lousty, Lundy, Mikkola
Chucky
Forsling
Reino Benny

That's freaking half our regular roster! WTF YO

Well we are the champs.

I mean he's 32.... and he doesn't seem like the most motivated guy to begin with . Last season could well have been their zenith with this group, at least for awhile . They do have some good prospects in their system, but they might have to move some stale blood out to change things up there.

that was the gist of the discussion i mentioned. but... he's only on year 3 of an 8x8.5 contract. i would imagine they'd have to give up a lot to dump that contract.

reino is a no-brainer, isn't he? 2nd in goals last year, leading the league this year... a top 2-way player.

btw, i sprang for tickets to the championship game so i'm getting psyched for this.

Zib's contract is immovable imo. Nobody wants that new age hippie on their team at that price, even tanking teams.

Anyone else not care about the 4 nations thing at all?

I think it'll be cool to see all our guys, personally.

i've heard several people inside the game talk about the fact the players are really excited about it. as if it were the olympics. this is not the official league propaganda but the guys on chiclets and the PDOCast guys (which, of course, could be indirectly manipulated but...).

i didn't give much thought to it a month ago but with a few tickets remaining and the excitement starting to bubble up, i decided to get tickets to a game. maybe i'm a sucker but i have a feeling this is going to be good.

Getting excited and looking at how to watch the games from here. Have to support my fellow Europeans against those nasty North Americans, and obviously Finland is the choice given that the Cats make up a fifth of that roster. I know we're the underdogs but think we could definitely upset some teams... Hyvä Suomi!!

If Canada doesn’t win it there will be much grinding of teeth in Toronno and Edumonton.

I have been to 2 ASG and I will never go again. The events are terrible now and it is just a money grab by the NHL. Total waste of time. Watching it on tv is not much better.

The 1996 World Cup was amazing to watch, especially in my youth. The best international hockey I've ever watched, aside from the '87 Canada Cup which I watched on YouTube after the fact of course.

Mixed feelings about the 4 nations. I hope no one gets hurt. And I wish our players could get the time off. But I do like international hockey. And we haven't had a real best on best for a while. So I'm pulling for team USA and all of our players to have a good tournament. Plus it's a good appetizer for the Olympics, which is what I'm really looking forward to.
