Watching Tyler Johnson for Tampa Bay makes me wonder if Weal could be our Johnson-lite.

I don't think so.

Tampa plays a really loose game, that fits Tyler Johnson skill set.

I can count about 7 or 8 times in just one period, how often Johnson is on the wrong side of the puck.

That would not fly as an LA King.

Guys like Weal are long shots, just due to the system of play in LA. Kozun is not even an NHLer. I think he was just as skilled as Weal.

True, but Weal having been brought along in the Kings' system will not be on the wrong side of the puck. IF Dean can't acquire an experienced number 3 center with size, I would much rather give Weal a shot than bring back Richards or Stoll.

Well, that would be cheaper. But I bet Sutter wouldn't play him. You have to earn your ice time with Sutter(Andy/Nolan figured this out the hard way).

Lewis might end up the third line Center next season. If Lombardi moves Richards and doesn't replace him.

Lombardi is not the type of GM to tell coach "You will play this long-shot guy or else" That's not Lombardi's style. He respects Sutter way more.
