Rome gets a 4.9 game suspension in the finals for a slightly late hit, Soucy gets 1 game for a crosscheck, Oilers star gets a 2 minute minor for a jumping elbow to the head.

You get reporters and journalists from all fronts (even Pat Mcafee) bringing up Soucy on McDavid which pretty much forced the leagues hand.

I'd sit him for a game to make sure he's healthy if that means Draisaitl also sits for a game. They're up 2-0 and can weather the storm for one game if that storm is at half strength.

That works if PSD has standards of any kind, but they don't. In the eyes of NHL Oilers McDavid and Draisaitl are MUCH more valuable investments to protect than some rando team from Florida.

To me, you need the officials to do their job.
Can't be saying, that they need to keep flow in the game, if the players are committing fouls. Yes, let the ticky tack stuff go, but you can't let it get to the point of anarchy on the ice by "letting them play".

I think I agree, I always hate the let the players decide it mentality... Let the talented players decided it, not the ones who have to take penalties to stay in a play. Let the skill guys be skill guys. I paid to see the skill not some guy clutch and grab and hook.
