That's the reason I hate the guy. He never tried much in the offseason as a Leaf but went on with his fake BS about how much he loved playing here. If he cared about anything but $$$ he shouldn't have to be told to use the offseason to train.

Piitsburgh will be heck of an offensive group but good luck winning with Kessel using up cap space that could go towards shoring up D.

Eh, wing was the Pens biggest weakness. They will however have to rely on prospects taking a solid leap to plug holes in the defence.

I really hope he lights it up and shuts up all the haters.. guy was exciting to watch and by far the only reason we had good chatter for the last few years.. this will be just like when sundin had mogilny on his wing.. its gonna be great and fun for the penguins and I for one hope they win it all this year.

with phil taking home most the hardware at the end of the year.

Phil will do well. Like really, really well. He won't play any differently than he did here, the difference is what we're glaring weaknesses here are covered by Pittsburgh's superior roster. He doesn't need to be accountable for his poor defensive play, or his floaty and at times lazy offense.

Phil will do what he does best. Wait to be fed the puck and hammer it home. Fortunately for him, if Crosby is the guy doing the feeding then he's going to just rake up the points.

I hope so too. Phil was my favorite on the team and now I would be following Pens as my second team

Lol ok. Good luck with that.

I'm going to enjoy seeing Kessel prove a lot of people like you wrong.

And if he doesn't? I'm sure we'll see people like you shift the goalposts in another direction in an attempt to justify Kessel's habits, playstyle, and what have you.

We can play the if game all you want, but it's a pretty safe bet that moving Kessel from playing with Bozak, to playing with Crosby will make Kessel look much better.

He's a player that has put up elite numbers with nobodies as his center. There was a comparison done between him and P.Kane where we found out that Kessel's production was less streaky than Kane. We have seen Kessel shoulder a significant portion of the team's powerplay responsibilities. The question that we should be asking is not if, by how much is Phil going to shatter his Toronto numbers...

I'm expecting some amazing numbers from Pittsburgh's three headed monster.

Gareth Wheeler is by far one of the most unbearably annoying radio announcers I've ever listened to in my entire life. Just a guy who sounds like he has a cold complaining about everything.

Lol shift the goalposts.

Kessel is who Kessel is. I never understood the push to try and make him a player he isn't. You don't take a Ferrari to a job site and load it up, why would you try to do that with Kessel? It's idiotic.

If Kessel doesn't do better I'll readily admit it. I have no problem being wrong.

As for the east, I really am getting the feeling that if Boston starts off slow they might go for a strategic tank and try for a top pick. I dont thinnk they're making it in anyways, and I dont think it will take much to start them tumbling down.

If the Leafs are good in the next few years what a story it would be if Horton plays again.

Bryan Murarry says that their prospect who ditched to go back home to Sweden can only play in Swedish beer leagues. as he's suspending him.
(that seems kinda mean).
