I feel like we play the Oilers well in general, and it would be a good series in another world.

But in this world, with no Drew Doughty for a 7 game series, I think it would be Edmonton in 5. Wish we could see both teams at full strength, those are fun games that alternate between pond hockey, tight hockey, and physical hockey depending on the phase of the moon. And sometimes Quick goes nuclear on them.

That being said, I think we can all agree it's best to keep VGK out of the playoffs, even if it means Edmonton just feasts on us. I believe them when they say f*** Vegas, it's not JUST because we're soft right now

When he's on, there's no goalie better.

But he's aging, and we have no expectations on our goalies right now. Neither dude can go more than 2 games without a blowup.

Nope. They destroyed the Canes just as easily. The only difference was they had a few more guys who finished instead of shooting wide and the Avs weren't perfect on their pp. I'm pretty sure the Canes weren't playing their 3rd in 4 nights either. Lots of good teams getting smoked too.

Scoring way up 5v5 this year is awesome and I'm hoping it stays that way, will force some change in the game imo

Favorites have won 21 straight games in the NHL. The takes on being worried about bad teams are just off. These teams are all bad rosters (save Vancouver) and emotionally checked out. The Kings have no excuse for losing any of their next 4 games.
