Colorado has one of the top 3 centers in the league and one of the top 2 D. They should be able to be a contender for years.

Just imagine if they could add an elite goaltender...

Colorado are going to gatekeep the west for a while. They are loaded now and in the future.

We really need a player like Mackinnon in the organization. But I suppose 25ish teams can say the same.

The Kings front office really needs to stop worrying about hurting the feewings of the vets on the roster, and the fans who think the vets are going to win something again.

Kuemper is sloppy. His technique and puck tracking is below average. His save pct was below .900. for the series. Kelly Hrudey rightfully called him out several times during this series. he made mental mistakes like playing a puck that woudlve been icing. Im not at all impressed w Kuemper.

Wasn't impressed at all by him either . If you're on a good team, .900 is enough to win a cup.

Kuemper wasnt great but hes a solid goalie. People are underestimating how hard it is to play goalie on a team like that.
You barely face any shots and in zone pressure all game. Its tough to stay focused and then usually in the second and third they do have some defensive lapses and he has to stop everything. They have a couple minutes where they cant keep that tempo up. He looked really good in Arizona getting shelled every game. Hes better than Grubauer for sure.

Haha no but was raised in a goalie family and always worked as a skater/shooter in goalie camps and clinics. So it is the excuse I would hear from goalies that had to play in situations like that. They are a strange bunch.

Roenick should be in the Hall of Fame. 500 goals, 1200 points and 1300 PIM for a guy who played much of his prime years in the NHL's version of the Dark Ages.

Roenick in his prime was a better player than Andreychuk and Recchi, they are both in.

How in the hell did Luongo get in especially with how tough goalies have it? And on the first ballot too. Most overrated goalie of his generation who accomplished absolutely nothing and always failed in big moments. And he’s the reason Canada couldn’t close out the gold medal game in regulation back in 2010. There are guys who aren’t in the Hall who I’d take over him if I needed to win one game.

I think the NHL draft might end up being like the NFL draft. Both drafts were weak, with a consensus #1 for a good chunk of the year who wouldn't be a #1 in a normal year and was eventually overtaken by a higher ceiling guy. If the Habs take Slafkovsky they likely lock up their #1 line for the future (no matter what happens going forward) with the upside to add another premier center next season if they are picking top 5 again.
