Tampa Bay vs Colorado, it should be a hell of a series. Tampa has a big edge in goaltending, and it may be the difference.

i've only been able to watch the condensed games but it's seriously prime quick in net, the guy is unbelievable

The Rangers likely think their SC window is open now, so they'll want a player that can help them win immediately as part of the trade IMO.

I kinda thought before the season Vas had already punched his HoF ticket, he's just assuring it now. Most consistently dominant goalie since the Roy/Hasek/Brodeur trio, even more so than Hank.
Will be interesting to see how his career shakes out when the Lightning dip, but you can only play what's in front of you, and he's bailed them out so much and allowed them to start their engines.

Not me. I like the cap - it forces you to make the most out of your budget instead of NY Yankees style fill every hole w top line FA. What that means in practice is you need to spread your talent across ELC, 1st RFA and vet contracts.. it makes you keep drafting and stocking the cupboards.. and when your window is open you can be more aggressive.. but while its not really open you should very careful not to hamstring your chances when it is open.

Should be an entertaining finals. I checked out after a handful of games in the last round. Edmonton was done in a blink of an eye and put the nail in the coffin of the pacific being the worst division in the league. The Rangers looked good for a minute but tapped out 4 straight once Vasilevsky and Palat flipped a switch.
The storylines for the cup are pretty great. MacKinnon and Makar versus the juggernaut. Point and Kadri coming back. Colorados weak goaltending vs Vasilevsky might be the difference.
Colorado seems to be the one team who can break Tampa’s sleeper hold when things get down to the nitty gritty. I think Avs win it and the series goes six games minimum.

Prime Quick was switched on, but Vasilevksy is on another level. .991 save percentage in series clinching games is a video game stat.
Tampa may be the best team in hockey since the Oilers dynasty. They just do too many things at a world class level. I’d put them up against the late 90s Wings/Avs and the early 90s Penguins.
