And why did Gaudreau skate to the point away from 97 when he couldve prevented that move to the middle
The Oilers averaged 5 goals per game against Sutter’s Flames in 5 games. Even with the blowout wins in the first round, the Kings held them to an average of 3.8 goals per game, sans Doughty.
Goal scoring was and has been a big problem for this team, and clearly they can’t go blow to blow against the heavyweights of this league, but I see that admitting that a Todd McLellan coached team put up a bigger fight than a Darryl Sutter coached team is a difficult reality for some fans to accept.
Calgary just got robbed by the bozos at NHL sit room
The inside skate kicked forward in an unnatural direction. If he just blew a tire & went into the net it probably counts. Either way Flames managed 1 win & weren't taking the series.yeah, that's a bad call. How could you say he kicking it in when it was going in regardless of his skate touching it. There's no way he's trying to kick that in while being pushed like that. Hell, we've all seen guys turn their skate to put it in and it's counted.
Who can't admit that the Kings put up a bigger fight? They went seven games versus five so there isn't any argument to be made. My point was that the Kings were better equipped for the Oilers with Danault and even old Kopitar versus seeing Lil Johnny going head-to-head with 97. Sutter didn't put on a coaching clinic by any means but he also didn't get any help from his goaltender. The Oilers averaged 5 goals per game against Sutter’s Flames in 5 games. Edmonton looks like a team that could finally breathe after winning a playoff round for the first time in forever. Lot more confidence in their game right now. Easy to be confident when you've got two guys that are pretty much good for a high quality chance every shift. I still don't think they can beat a team that has depth and a real goalie but that might only be Tampa at this point.
Can't expect to win with Trevor Lewis being a regular in your line-up in the year 2022.
Wasn't Florida's power play worse than ours against the Capitals and Lightning? Weird year.Calgary's power play was somehow worse than the Kings during the playoffs, operating at a rate of 12.2%. Their PK was considerably better than the Kings and their pathetic 63.2% penalty killing unit.
The Oilers also walked all over Calgary in four straight games after they got embarrassed in Game 1. They came back from multi-goal deficits as well. Similar to what we witnessed in round one, the Flames couldn't match up against Edmonton's top players.

I thought Calgary would be far more physical in that series. They just weren't. Terrible goaltending and not being physical enough were Calgary's undoing in that series.Who can't admit that the Kings put up a bigger fight? Or Milan Lucic, who was completely worthless in the playoffs. Too slow to keep up with the competition, and he was not some physical force out there.
I’m doing this for charity for you because I know how difficult it is for you to scrollI don't know how you can call anyone lazy when you can't even be bothered to put together a coherent argument. Sutter is a Jack Adams finalist this year and you are saying this season is an example of him being a bad coach, it's just absolute nonsense.
All you need is McDavid. They are a one man team and that one f***ing man is unbeatable.I thought Calgary would be far more physical in that series. They just weren't. Terrible goaltending and not being physical enough were Calgary's undoing in that series.
I still don't think Edmonton is a team that is put together very well, but I am willing to be convinced if they don't get throttled in the next round.
I can’t wait to see this.

“Sutter should probably self-reflect on some of his decisions too. Like not line matching or game planning against the best player in the world for 3 f***ing games, or keeping his ice cold starter in till the end”
Great coach though huh junior? Todd outcoached Sutter with all of these points in mind.
I never considered Sutter some brilliant Xs and Os strategist. He’s great at motivating players, and has a comforting, even keeled attitude for otherwise unstable locker rooms. But he’s usually not going to out-chess another coach mid-game, and he’s always going to have a shelf life.
Mcdavid is just unstoppable this season. It’s going to be very interesting to see how well Hedman/Vasilevsky do against him if those teams make the finals.
And ofc full marks to the Kings who took these jokers to 7 games without Doughty while the Flames go down in, well…
Game 5 vs Game 7 lmaoooo bad coach now for sureHaha, you really are a tool aren't you? Picking out one comment from a message board immediately following a playoff loss. Have you noticed that this board was wide ranging opinions on just about everything Kings related? I can find you someone who sings TMac's praises and someone else who wants him fired immediately. You just have some weird hate boner for Sutter, but I won't even bother discussing this with you anymore when a random fan comment is your entire premise for calling Sutter a bad coach. Multiple cup wins? Multiple division banners? Finalist for the Jack Adams? Nah, none of that matter when some rando on the Flames board says he is bad.
