Next year Turcotte, Byfeild and Kaliyev will for sure be on the team on entry level deals. Maybe Kupari, Fagemo, Thomas, and Madden too. And that is just up front.
When have you ever seen a team bring in this many rookies in the same season? Byfield will make it this season, most likely. Others may see some NHL action this season, but I don't see this many rookies being in the lineup in the 2022-23 season.

I wouldn’t allow him around my minor league team either. What happens if he is the center of an out in Cleveland? I wouldn’t want an unvaccinated player in our Ontario locker room. The long haul concerns with Covid infections scare the heck out of me and I’m not a professional athlete. CBJ should just cut him and be done with him.

Are you serious? The NBA doesn't have a vax mandate. Typical liberal double standard.

Canucks nation up in arms about a misquote? Wow, say it ain't so.

Maybe they'll make a t shirt about it.

Maybe not so much a misquote since Jack definitely said "bad team" but more inferring too much as in "the 2020-21 Canucks were a bad team" vs. "The Canucks are currently and in the future are a bad team." He also said Quinn loves it in Vancouver when the other reporters asked about whether the Hughes brothers were conspiring to unite.

Blame social media and people's tendencies to want to comment based off of a headline without reading the whole article / listening to the whole interview. Unfortunately I don't think that's limited to a particular fan base. Also doesn't help when the various other podcasts also pick up on it and post clickbait headlines of their own.

I remember this one time Darren Dreger was doing his weekly radio interview with TSN Vancouver. They talked about the 2017 Draft for a couple minutes of a 20+ minute segment. The previous day, Philly GM Ron Hextall made an innocuous statement about listening to offers on the #2 pick since it was his job but that he didn't anticipate moving it. I think the TSN Vancouver interview went something like:

Host: Have you heard anything about Vancouver moving up (from #5) in the Draft?

Dreger: I wouldn't be surprised if they kicked the tires, but I don't think New Jersey or Philadelphia is moving their pick.

Subsequent TSN headline went something like: Dreger - "I wouldn't be surprised" if top picks are in play.

The headline implied the complete opposite of what Dreger said. But naturally HF ran with the headline and assumed the Devils/Flyers were looking to trade out. Unfortunately social media teams are going to do what they can to maximize the number of views/comments/etc.

In the case of a shitbag like Rinaldo, looks like the team is deciding he's not worth the risk.

In the case of Bertuzzi, where he's an actual everyday player instead of a dog unleashed like Rinaldo, looks like he has guidelines to follow if he doesn't want to be vaccinated, including not playing or getting paid for games in Canada.

I mean call it what you want, the NHL is balancing the mandates of different states and countries and are trying to operate with minimal risk and the NHL has determined--as a private business--what risks are worth taking. That's as far as we are going with the politics in this thread...yet again.

I'm sure we've all been on sports teams/work teams where the more talented folks get a little more rope than the talentless idiots. That's all that's happening here.

some of those will play this year, but I am saying that all will be next year. 3 in two years is not alot

there's that whole thread on the divorce filing by his stbx wife accusing him of domestic violence and sexual assault.

There's the usual hot takes by his defenders and those that are on the other extreme.

Double standard? I don’t care about the NBA. Not sure if you saw the news about Staylock. These players are assets to the teams and should be protected.

Edmonton Oilers goaltender Alex Stalock is expected to miss the entire 2021-22 NHL season due to a heart condition he developed after contracting COVID-19 last season.
If a player doesn’t want to get vaccinated, that’s his choice, but he wouldn’t be on my team.

Well, most/all of those other vaccines probably have been around for years.
We still don't know much about what types of long term effects this vaccine may or may not have.
I can see it being a legit concern for someone to have about a new vaccine.

This is true, but then I hope they never get a flu shot. Those have different components every single year.

It's not like studies using mRNA as a vaccination tool are new, they have been used in Cancer vaccine trials for at least a decade. If there was anything dangerous long-term about the delivery method we would know it by now.

I see how some would be concerned, especially if they had had a bad experience in the past with a vaccine or new treatment. But you really can't get much safer than something so unstable and short-lived that it couldn't possibly be persistent in a cell. It's going to be disassembled right after synthesizing the protein, so long-term effects are extremely unlikely.

We do know about long term effects because history tells us. Are you a scientist? Do your research.

Y'all need to get outside & breath. This is a King's forum. How are we not relentlessly mocking the Sharks right now? Where are the terrible trade proposals on the mains? We're not bringing our A game.

Mods didn't like it the last time I went to the mains and proposed that the sharks go f*** themselves

Somehow the sharks managed to do it anyway.
