Just can't see this happening. Unless they get some sort of discount due to the questions around his injury, the price just seem too high. Plus, He'd be 2nd C which pushed everyone down one spot on the depth chart.

I don't think they'll trade for him, but given they're one of the few teams that most reliable media sources are mentioning, Kings wouldn't be trading away draft ;picks and top prospects for a 2C. Kopitar would drop to 2C.

I would suspect that even though it was the team which took the tougher path through the playoffs in 2014, that is the best team Martinez has ever played for in his life. Vegas has no players like the 2014 versions of Doughty, Kopitar, Quick, Gaborik and Williams.

He is correct that it likely was best team on paper...given they tied for the presidents trophy that part is likely true.
